South Park Doggie - Doggieland (LA) — Attraction in Los Angeles

Con: We had our dog there a week, during Christmas holidays. We were told there’d be daily photos and video updates, but we only got updates for the first 3 days. By the time we picked her up, still no photo or video updates were uploaded. Don’t give customers this expectation if you cannot meet it, especially if it’s a busy season. It was disappointing to not see more updates after checking online daily.

Con: we did not receive all of her belongings at the time of checkout. Their laundry room had some issues and unfortunately we couldn’t get her blanket at the time of checkout. We were also missing one more item.

Con: checkout process was inefficient. Just like checkin, where an inventory of items brought in were done, this should also occur upon checkout. I had to go back inside again when I realized we almost left her bed and realized her blanket was missing.

Con: no webcam in the boarding rooms, only in the playrooms and only during the business hours.

Pro: the updates that were given online and over the phone were good. They were willing to give verbal updates if photos and video weren’t updated.

Pro: my dog was able to do different activities than just playing in the playroom with other dogs, such as agility exercises, etc.

Pro: food intake was updated almost daily.

Pro: staff is nice. And when I brought my dog home, she seemed content with being there and did not show odd behaviors.

Pro: it was thoughtful of them to at least wash her blanket, even though we didn’t get it back yet. They offered to call us once it’s ready.

Pro: we were at least able to see her on live webcam in the playrooms.

Pro: check in process went well, a full inventory was done on what was brought in and a quick tour and time for answering questions was included as well.

Overall, maybe just be aware if you are boarding your dog here for the holidays, expect delays in updates online. Response time on when the updates would show online was vague. Also, all the belongings should’ve been ready on the day of pickup. For me, if the blanket wasn’t washed yet, I would rather have had it in a bag to take home to wash myself so that we don’t have to make a trip back to the daycare just for a blanket.

Still recommend. But pros and cons still stand.

Update: we picked up our dog 2 days ago, and still no additional photos or video loaded onto her report card since the first 3 days of her stay. I am so grateful to have found Doggieland for our beloved pup, Grut. As pet parents, it is of utmost importance to us that our furry friend is safe and well-cared for when we are away, and Doggieland has exceeded our expectations in every way.

The activities and amenities provided by Doggieland are exceptional. Our pup absolutely loves the engaging activities and playtime sessions they offer. What truly sets Doggieland apart is their open communication and transparency. They understand the concerns of pet parents and go above and beyond to provide updates and peace of mind. We greatly appreciate the regular updates, photos, and even the occasional video clips they share with us. It's heartwarming to see Grut having such a great time while we're away.

The staff at Doggieland are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and caring. They genuinely love what they do and it shows in their interactions with the dogs. We have complete confidence in their ability to handle any situation that may arise. It is evident that the safety and well-being of the dogs in their care are their top priorities.

The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and designed with the comfort and happiness of the dogs in mind. The spacious play areas, both indoors and outdoors, provide ample room for the dogs to run and play freely. We appreciate the attention to detail in creating an environment that is safe, stimulating, and enjoyable for our pup.

Doggieland has truly become our go-to place for our pet's care. We can trust that Grut is in good hands and having a great time while we're away. Bentley has been coming here since he was just a tiny puppy, and now he’s 5! He’s a platinum member and goes every day while I’m at work and honestly, this place gives me complete peace of mind. I never have to worry about him because I know he’s surrounded by people who genuinely love and care for him.

Liz, the manager, is truly one of a kind. She treats Bentley as if he were her own. She knows his personality inside and out, from the way he greets everyone in the morning to the little things that make him happy. She always takes time to update me, share sweet moments, and make sure every detail of his day is perfect. You can tell how much heart she puts into her work. She leads with kindness, professionalism, and so much love for every single dog there. Bentley absolutely adores her and honestly, so do I!

Marcela, Marc, Robert, Diana, Nick, Oscar, and the rest of the amazing team are just as wonderful. They all know Bentley so well, it sometimes feels like they know him better than I do! They notice every little thing about him. His moods, his favorites, when he’s extra playful or just in the mood to cuddle and they always make sure he’s having the best day possible.

They’ve been part of his life since the beginning, teaching him how to swim, helping him with agility, and celebrating every birthday with so much love and joy. Each year, they make him feel so special, and I can tell he truly feels at home there.

It’s rare to find a place where everyone genuinely loves what they do, but you can see it here in every smile and every tail wag. Bentley absolutely adores going to daycare, and I’m beyond grateful for the entire team that makes it all so wonderful. This isn’t just a daycare, It’s Bentley’s second home, filled with people who treat him like family.
