I delivered an amazon package to a customer in this building. I've never had an issue with exiting an enclosed parking as a delivery driver. Parking attendees always let me out without pay because, of course, I am working. This place on the other hand CHARGED me $15 to exit their parking lot after delivering to THEIR building. I spoke to the girl in the front (receptionist) and she said there was nothing they can do and I had to pay. After 20 minutes of trying to exit I came back and she told me she will call someone to open the gate. So, why was this not done in the beginning? The lady that came to help had seen me struggle earlier and decided to not not help at all until she was told to do so. I also attempted calling through the pay machine and I assume they were ignoring me because they never answered. The most unprofessional and rude building I have delivered to in all of downtown LA. The least they can do is have a 10 minute parking up front. Charging a delivery driver is sad. You never know people's circumstances. Next time, it could be...
Read moreWent here for an event and the amount of security to the number of attendees felt oppressive. My guess is the staffing level was non-negotiable and a minimum requirement to host an event at the venue.
Layout is pretty uninspired also. You have a main foyer and a few breakout spaces. The freight elevator allows big displays (or things like cars) to make it through the display.
I got scolded by the security for going to the food trucks and trying to re-enter without going through the metal detector again, despite no signage indicating as such. The lot of which was also monitored by security, so nobody from outside was allowed in without going through security first. I mean I should be thanking them⌠someone couldâve slipped in a plastic fork from the meal they just ate!
Nah, just donât book your events here, unless you run an event that truly needs that much security like a jewelerâs expo or luxury goods or...
Read moreThe Reef is an easy to assess for vendors. Vendors can assess the elevators from the loading dock on Hill St. The dock opens at 8:30am on Saturdays and 9:30am on Sundays (I wish we had known this earlier) It has it's own parking lot, it is not a free parking lot. The space is much larger than most venue's and has a sink in the back of the VIP Room (the Cloud Room) They do not have a commercial kitchen, however they allow heating elements on the floor. No carts are allowed on the front elevators, only the fright elevators located at the loading dock and the parking there is free. Friendly, Helpful, knowledgeable employees are there to asset you. There is street parking surrounding the building as well as the private parking lot. One good thing about this venue are the many restrooms both for...
