Horrible service, do not go here if you want to find a place that cares about your dog and your personal time. This place rips off dog owners and changes the type of appointments to Express without your knowledge, when it was never asked or even needed. I’ve always taken my dogs to petsmart for grooming, for decades. Then all of a sudden this location put my dogs as only allowed to be express appointments, which is a massive up charge. They don’t care about your dog, they want to upcharge you and rob you. It’s really upsetting because we’ve been customers for over a decade and never had any issues… then moving to LA, all their locations are run by money grabbing incompetent people. We put up with it once, and still gave a massive tip after all was said and done, but it looks like they saw this as an opportunity to grab even more money.
The incompetence is very gross with Phoenix, she would not accept my dogs because they had minor matting around the legs. She told me to do it myself and then bring bring my dog in… excuse me, that’s why I’m paying you! We offered more money, whatever it costs, and she refused to cut and wash. You are denying a service that you guys are there to provide, who is hiring these people? Her excuse was it would take too long and they wanted to get more appointments in, so she rescheduled us for an “express” which for the inconvenience, we were still up charged. Everytime we made appoints at any other location in LA after the first incident, Phoenix put in our file that we can only do express.. so even if we book and confirm for a normal appointment at normal business hours… they go into the system at end of day, change our appointment type and change the date and time that we booked for. Then, leave no voicemail and we find out after getting there the day of our appointment, that they moved our scheduled date and changed the appointment type without our permission, and up charge us about 80 dollars of normal pricing. It’s blatant money grabbing, and discrimination at every location in LA. LA District Managers needs to get their stuff together, I’ve never been in a poorly run business like this. You lost our business for life. This happened 4 times already, enough is enough. It’s pretty obvious they are making up phony excuses to upcharge their clients. Specially in times of people losing everything they own, these disgusting people are trying to rob us. How dare you Petsmart, how dare you. If you have to make an appointment, steer clear from Phoenix or she will do the same to you and manipulate your files/account to pocket extra money for the same...
Read moreI love that they finally brought a PetSmart to the Valley. I'd been waiting a long time for it. Back in the '90's and early 2000's, we had to drive all the way out to Westlake Village, if we wanted to go to PetSmart. Now, it's much closer in Sherman Oaks, and it is a nice one. It's a smaller store, but I have never found that to be an issue when finding everything that I am going there to find in pet supplies. The prices are typically less than Petco, and the employees are helpful without being so intrusive, like I have found employees at Centinela to be. The only reason I am giving it a 4-Star rating, rather than a full 5 is because of an experience that I had with a cashier the last time that I was there a few weeks ago. I came in with a PetSmart coupon for a free bag of Blue Buffalo cat food. After picking out which bag to get, I also decided to pick out a metal litter scoop to replace my cracked plastic one. When I went to the only cashier, the young girl was nice enough, but not too bright. I don't know if she was new or not, but it seemed obvious that she just wasn't"on the ball," so to speak. I pointed out the coupon, we talked about the coupon bringing me in there, but my finding something else, as well, and she ran the coupon, as well as both items. When she told me the total, it was obviously for both items, and it surprised me that she had no clue that it was. It didn't even dawn on her until I said, "$26 for a litter scoop?!". So, she had to get a manager to figure out why the register didn't take the charge off the cat food. I understand why she needed manager assistance, I just was dumbfounded that after talking about and physically running the coupon, that the total wasn't a red flag to her that it was incorrect. Moral of the story: watch your totals when checking...
Read moreDont ever get your dog groomed here and be careful from LUCINDA!! Lucinda groomed my dog and INJURED my poor little Yorkshire Terrier! She CUT her leg and made her bleed! This all happened after she did her wrong before and chopped her all hair after a specific details on how to groom my dog (i showed her pics too), But since i was out of country for two weeks, and her regular groomer was fully booked until next week , on these hot summer days i had to bring her back to Lucinda - a decision that was clearly wrong! She LIED to me when she called after cutting her, telling me that my dog had a skin irritation which wasnt too serious and they have to check it with the vet before continuing the grooming! If i had known she cut her i would stop everything i was doing to escort my dog to the vet!! Second time she called she said vet said everything was fine but they cant continue grooming her. That point i was suspicious and asked to speak to the manager and found out she LIED TO ME! and manager said she cut her and it wasnt irritation ! My dog cried so bad when i came to pick her up, she was stressed, her leg was bleeding and they gave me an ointment and a head cover so she wont lick her leg! My dog is limping and in pain now thanks to LUCINDA so be aware! I recommend never to get your dog groomed here especially...
