We had gone for the Runyon canyon trek. It is a dog friendly hike. Not very difficult. There are benches for hikers to sit on and various trails you can follow as well. The view from the top is good. At a distance you can see the Hollywood sign, the Griffith observatory as well the LA skyline. Overall a relaxed and short trek with quite some dogs. I would say it's a fun walk.

Parking here is impossible as the signs say "No Parking 10am to 6pm" i would try and park in the neighborhood and get the extra workout in. There are two hills going up, one bigger than the other. Getting to the top is a piece of cake, but getting down is tricky!

Really nice hike in LA, better to do it for the sunset. The view is really nice and you get a full view on LA (Hollywood sign, Los angeles dowtown...) Really good just to clear your mind, for a date with a bottle of champagne, or just for the view

Here's where Angelenos go for a quick hick and fellowship with friends. It features moderate to heavy cardio exercise, expansive views of beautiful Los Angeles, and wonderful people watching. Best of all, you're lovable four-legged members of the family are also welcome. So lace up your hiking shows, bring Spot, your other best friend, and go on up the hill to Runyon Canyon for a fun and invigorating hike.

Expert Tips: Take Uber to and from Runyon. Parking is challenging. Bring dollar bills cash so you can take advantage of the honor-system concession stand at the base of the hike. With it and you're Washingtons, you won't even need to pack water or snacks. You can get them...

Went up via the western trail from Wattles Garden Park. Trail was rather steep, wouldn't recommend coming back that way. Not many other hikers on this side. Unfortunately came across a couple that thought they would take advantage of the lack of people and copulate on the track! Not sure if this is common here but I will avoid that track next time! Views from the top are...
