Went up via the western trail from Wattles Garden Park. Trail was rather steep, wouldn't recommend coming back that way. Not many other hikers on this side. We had gone for the Runyon canyon trek. It is a dog friendly hike. Not very difficult. There are benches for hikers to sit on and various trails you can follow as well. The view from the top is good.
