Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel — Attraction in Los Angeles

Beautiful weather, great company, and enjoy the efforts the zoo makes to accommodate their animals and the guests too. Love the little tidbit info cards on how the zoo is helping certain species to populate, and I think it is so much nicer these days for the animals. They are happy with their home and the zoo keepers. The Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel is located inside of the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. There are several different animals that riders can choose from and there is even a bench to sit on, if you'd rather not ride on one of the animals...since they go up and down. Each animal on the carousel was hand carved on wood and different from the other. There is a $3 charge per ride, per rider, which is a little expensive for such a quick ride - but it does help conserve...
