I recently had my son's 2nd birthday party here. I rented the Santa Fe Picnic Area. It was GREAT!! We had our own little section. Our tables had a huge canopy over the 3 tables which was great, due to the little rain we experienced that day. We were able to bring extra canopies and tables. We were able to have the piñata, thankfully we had a tree in our section. For food we had pupusas. Our people came with the plancha and we're able to cook there, so everyone had fresh food. All the workers that helped us out were great, I wish I got their names. You are able to visit the other trains there, but I don't believe you are able to go inside. They do have a train that goes around that area, it costs a few bucks. Didn't have time to do that. This place is so much fun and plan to come here again to just visit. My son had a BLAST!! he enjoyed every minute here. The price is affordable to reserve and as long as you stay in your area and clean up after yourselves, you will not have a problem with the workers. Since our picnic area was the last one, it is a bit of a walk if carrying things, so make sure you have a dolly or a wagon to help bring the things over. Also, there are no plugs around and NO JUMPERS. But trust me, you won't need a jumper with all the kids...
Read moreTravel Town Railroad is an absolutely delightful and engaging museum-park — informative, well-organized, and simply a joy to visit. We’ve been several times already, and it’s never overly crowded, which makes the experience even more relaxing.
There’s a charming kids’ play area where children can bring their own toy cars or trains — perfect for imaginative play since toys aren’t provided there. Our kids always have a blast and never want to leave!
We’ve also ridden the locomotive several times, and on our most recent visit, we got to sit right behind the engineer. It’s thrilling to have that front-of-the-train vantage point, but be aware: it can be quite loud, and there’s a noticeable smell of fuel (probably gasoline or something similar). It was still a memorable experience — just something to keep in mind.
One of the most unique features is that you can celebrate birthdays inside the vintage train cars — such a fun, one-of-a-kind option! The whole atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and our family absolutely loves it. Highly recommend Travel Town Railroad for a charming...
Read moreI have been going to Travel Town for most of my life but the last few weeks I had my first experiences as a mama. We booked the grey car for my son’s second birthday and visited prior to check it out. There are train tracks the kids can play with inside but there are no trains provided so make sure to bring your own when you visit. I will say, for anyone booking a party here, make sure you have a clear plan and to team to help you set up and clean up because you only get three hours to do it all including enjoy your party. (I’m an event planner and probably tackled too much for the time we had, but it came out great!) We did book and hour and a half of train play through the gift shop and they set up on the grass outside the car. The kids loved it. We also purchased group tickets for the train and they let our whole party load onto the train together and even let one of our kiddos say “All aboard!” It was a wonderful and affordable party option for my...
