Western Barber Institute — Attraction in Los Angeles

I've been a client at Western Barber Institute for over three years, and l've always left feeling confident and taken care of. The barbers here truly take pride in their work, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and professional. After years of being a loyal client, I decided to take the leap and enroll as a student, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I've been a student now for about three months, and the experience has been life-changing. A huge thank you to Mr. C -- his passion and dedication to teaching are on another level. He motivates us to push past our comfort zones, and his energy is so contagious that it makes every class something to look forward to. You can tell he genuinely cares about each student's growth and success. Mr. B is another amazing instructor who deserves so much credit. His calm and patient approach makes learning technical skills feel less intimidating. He has a gift for breaking things down step by step and is always willing to give extra guidance when needed. Western Barber Institute feels like a big family. Whether you're sitting in the chair as a client or learning behind it as a student, you're treated with respect and kindness. I couldn't recommend WBl enough -- both as a place to get a fresh cut and as the perfect school to start your barbering journey. Walked in with hair. Walked out questioning every decision I’ve ever made.

I asked for a low fade with a trim on top. The guy named Evan gave me a high fade. He didn't let me see the mirror the whole time and kept saying "trust me bro" i wish i didn't trust. He spinned my head like he was working on mannequin.

Half way through the cut he was getting mad whereas i should've been mad as he cut my upper lips and didn't even feel bothered. When he saw little blood his words were "my bad" ( not even apologetic). He was using comb and scissor like he was not cutting hair, he was cutting dead grass and when i asked him to be gentle he got mad.

Adding more to insult, the lady instructor was right behind us all the time and didn't even say anything to the barber when i complained. Seems like they are hand in glove as they have no sense of apologies for messing someone hair and ruining their day. It felt like they do this everyday and are used to it. Never in last 7-8 years i had such worst experience at this place. Everyone was very nice and welcoming but this was the last time.

Hope the barber learns people skills and how to work with customers before he leaves the institute or else he would be jobless soon. Save yourself. Go to literally anywhere else- it’ll be...

Worse costumer service I was a customer for more than ten years but this time I got shocked they put me all the way in the back for hair cut which I couldn't tolerated more than ten minutes sitting pullution chemical smells load voices no oxygen ac level was too low not enough space to move as I was told they take 50 student same time and approximately 50 customers because it was full I saw only two instructors no cleaning services was available now you can imagine how are the bathrooms and other room and they charged me market rates which is not appropriate and this time student was very bigainer which not supposed to put customer under such circumstances before I was getting service the student was normally doing his job and time to time instructors supervising them I really don't recommend anyone go there because it's health issues if I don't get out that day I almost fainted I faced difficulty breathing anxiety due to environment anyone read this review please contact health department...
