I have been coming to this place for more than 20 yrs. on n off. there would always be someone at register and one doing the sandwich alone. today 3pm only one lady. rude or just the way they talk. but she had one glove on left hand and no ok right. she made boba thai tea, she did her thing on register me paying her. she held the machine to tap my card w two hands- mond u w L hand w glove n right hand without. observing her closely n quietly- move to the sandwich - she put on a glove on right hand but did not change her left hand glove. she took a loaf of french bread , cut it w one dirty glove on left n new on right hand. she proceeded to put meat and veggies using her hands one after the other. gross and when I mentioned to her she said something only her can understand went to the back spoke w older man and said he does not speak English. sad how these people prepare food for their cuetomers who pays whT $ they ask for. next time i will make sure to video tape her or who ever makes my sandwich w such care. using gloves for everything - touching dirty register/ money and proceed to touching n prep sandwich n meat etc. if anyone go there please make sure to watch her prepare you sandwich - make her put on new hloves both hands. specially if she is on both register, sandwich making n others.

I came in on 04/22/2025 around noontime. Food: I only wanted to try their Banh Mi, but was also distracted by their other food displayed at the counter. Grilled Pork Banh Mi (Banh Mi Thit Nuong) ($9.50): The sandwich is huge. The pork was flavorful, I asked for extra pate ($1.00). The bread is crispy. Bo Bia ($9.50): They were selling it for 3/9.50. The rolls are huuuge. The peanut sauce and chili crisp pairs well with the rolls. Sesame Ball (Banh Cam) ($1.50): it was crispy on the outside, and the bean filling on the inside is not too sweet. Pairs well with coffee. Service: The service took a while which was understandable. Tons of people were ordering to go. But they prepared the food at a reasonable speed. I appreciate that. The lady at the cashier was kind to answer my questions and she recommended some food for me to try, and it was great! Atmosphere: The dining space was clean. A little bit loud, but it's a restaurant so that's expected. Overall the food tasted great. Would come back and try their other banh mi. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Overall great bang for buck. The bahn mi are huge and delicious. Bread is fresh and not too crunchy. Downsides are the service is very unorganized. The ladies behind the counters are yelling and handing out special call in orders. Also, they have a secret menu thats not displayed anywhere. My order was forgotten and the order was wrong when I eventually got it. Also, the atmosphere isn't very welcoming. Its loud, hot, Dirty tables and floors. Its just a good fast food take out type place. I'll still be back to try other things but definitely won't be eating it there.

Their staff here here has been very sketchy and unfriendly towards me on several occasions. The fact that they are being rude to their own customers shows arrogance that they don't care about your business. The cashier lady with the baseball cap rushes me to order when I go in is a straight-up two-faced and mean person. She appears like she's being kind to me by talking to me loud and nicely while she reacts to me by making weird faces and gestures towards me like she hates me.

The sandwiches and some entree's are good, but other items can be nasty. Their nem(wrapped raw pork meat) is disgusting. It used to be really good, but now it just tastes foul and lacking on the garlic now. So, I go to a nearby store to get it because it tastes appropriate and not cheaply made.

The service from the cashier lady with the white sox hat was hateful when I was ordering and then changed my mind to modify it. She silently flipped out at me when I asked to modify my order and then stared and squinted at me for a few seconds to make sure i saw how she was feeling about me...all this because I asked to modify my order from sandwich #7 to a sandwich #12 instead! I even apologized and then she still flipped out at me! First, she glares at me. Then, she rolled her eyes like she was trying to make a point to me clearly that she hated me without saying so. Then, at the end of the order after glaring and rolling her eyes at me, she tries to pressure me into buying the food on the counter like the stale egg rolls she previously sold me that I couldn't eat before after I purchased. I politely had to tell her, "no thanks!" when I really wanted to say, "Hell, no!" The lack of respect she showed me was very hateful. This same woman was the one I witnessed using her bare hands to smear the remaining butter out of the container into the tub of butter at the sandwich bar. Then, she looked at me and smiled out of guilt when she saw me witness it as if she didn't care that I saw! Then, she immediately put gloves on to play it off when I saw she used her bare hands!

When I ordered Ba Kha soup, I saw the lady who cooked it in the back lick her fingers while pouring the contents into my take out container. To add insult to that, she was so blatant about it that it didn't even seem like she cared that I saw!

The food might taste good here, but how would you feel if you found out they dropped your food on the floor and then served it to you when that's basically how they treat you? If you want to continue to support a business that practices dirty habits and like licking hands while preparing food, maybe this place will be perfect for you. I'm utterly disgusted and disappointed from what I witnessed. The owner or male manager doesn't seem like the person that will take action if I reported this behavior to him, so I'm hesitant to tell him what I saw. Maybe, I should tell him and see what he says. Please give me a thumbs up if you want an update to this matter...I'm not trying to create problems or ruffle feathers, but this is a blatant violation of health policy. I wasn't surprised several years ago when I saw this place have a "C" grade or a "B" grade, but I came back when I saw the "A," but they are clearly fooling the health department and not deserving of the "A" grade from what I saw. They clearly do not appreciate me here. I'm sad that they feel this way about me when all I had showed them that last 20 years they were open was love and support, but in return they give me grief for changing my order selections and show hate towards me each time I walk in the door. The last time I went in, the sandwich guy made everyone's food that ordered after me, first-while making me wait until everyone after got their food to finally give me my food. Be careful buying anything from the countertop by the register as they are eager to sell you their leftovers that aren't always fresh like their stale egg rolls or room temperature rice...

This place is only good if you're eating in person.

Absolutely do not recommend making pickup orders over the phone.

🟥: The staff is absolutely incompetent with customer service in my experience.

GOOD: ✅: The food was absolutely stellar and AFFORDABLE $9 for a Banh Mi. ✅: They were honest that they messed up my bill and refunded me within 48 hours.

BAD: ❌: I had to wait 40 mins for an order I called ahead 18 hours ahead for even if the store confirmed 2x.

My order was not ready when I got there. (I called ahead the day before and the day of specifying a noon pickup to which the staff confirmed) When I got there, they did not even start making my order which took 40 minutes to make. (it was 14 sandwiches, 5 spring rolls, 15 egg rolls, 1 Banh Bao, A Sesame Ball and 5 slushies)

❌: Because they were scrambling to fulfill my order (it was huge, and why I called WAY ahead) they ended up overcharging me by 25% of my bill.

❌: Since the manager was not there, they told that they will just call me again re: the refund. And when I had called again to ask the next day, the staff just told me "not here" in a yelling manner and hung up on me without explaining anything. I called again and got the same reaction. (did it about 5x)

❌: The staff that I encountered did NOT make any effort to help me figure out how to get a refund. You will only be able to talk to the managers properly if...
