I really enjoy all of the small and not so small trails that make up parts of the wissahickon watershed trail, and more broadly the state parks, and so on. I have passed the sign many times not knowing what was back there. I wanted to take my dog to meet her puppy pal for a nice romp. My friend (the other owner) sent me an address, plugged it into maps and there we were. The loop part of the trail is even paved for those who want to enjoy the outdoor setting but aren't able to go on a dirt trail and or need something accessible if one is unable to walk. I have compiled a short list of similar places within about 5 miles of my house to check out in the next few weeks. Having a dog always gives you a buddy to go...
Read moreA popular and easy, flat loop walking trail. Wood chips on path and mostly shade. Walking, running. The loop trail around the small lake is about 1mile from/to parking lot. Could do a stroller, though maybe better with slightly larger wheels. We have seen lots of wildlife including frogs, turtles, fish, ducks, a beaver, and a wide...
