Leslie Porter Wayside Park — Attraction in Lynn Haven

We come here alot. We love it! One of our places to bring the littles to swim, and play. Two playgrounds. One near the water one opposite side of the road :) Bathrooms Boatdock Pavilions Grills Nice relaxing chairs (some even pull them partially into the water to enjoy some sitting and relaxing ) I love taking our paddleboard and letting the kids play and myself relax out in the water.

On top of that the water is super shallow, for most of the area. Still need to watch your children. This isn't a hey its shallow let's let your kids do whatever! This happens alot here as well.

I will say, some do not respect our waters, which can be pretty sad to say the least. Throwing and leaving trash around the playground and heavy near the waters edge.

Though all in all this is an amazing place to take your kids. Family anyone just wanting a nice relaxing place to enjoy. This is a kid friendly place though.

IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET WET, STAY OUT OF THE WATER...

We went there to fish from the bridge. There is a small playground, plenty of parking, a small little beach area that was not packed, a few picnic tables, about 2 boat ramps and a men’s and women’s bathroom. We were there about 4 hours fishing from the bridge. Caught a few red snappers, too small to take though. The bridge is only accessible to pedestrians and golf carts. While there we saw a small dolphin swimming around! Super cool for my son to see. Restrooms are clean and cold if you need a cooldown from the heat. There is an area outside of the restrooms to take a quick rinse and get sand off from the beach. There are also a couple of bench/swings by the picnic tables. Used to bring my girls here when they were young. They are grown now and now we bring my 5 year old granddaughter here. She loves to get in the water, it's so shallow and we don't have to worry about something happening because the area is roped off in the water. She would have to go a long way to get to it, but we saw other children playing close to it and it was still knee deep for her. Closer to us is better though. They have a nice picnic area with nice tables. Regular bathrooms and a nice playground area so children never get bored, but they sure are tired at the end of the day.
