Not sure it is even worth giving 3 stars but our experience was not the greatest although I know some of it was not their fault either but it wasn't ours either and was not the most fun at all. We bought reserved tickets for Sat 12/26, drove down there from TN, about an hour and 20 min drive. Get there and are told the motor for the ramp thing that takes you up the hill is broken and the only options are go down to their ski office to get refunds or go tubing and walk up the hill. They absolutely would not offer anything else, no partial refund at all. Mind you, we only got to go down the hill way less times than we would have if the ramp had been operating. It was exhausting walking up the hill, my kids even had to take breaks and the time walking up the hill to tube down really didn't make up for how much was spent. We should have just done the refund but we drove a ways to get there with no prior knowledge of this being an issue and then my kids wanted to at least do some tubing but were done early before our time was up because everyone was tired. We spent way more time walking up the hill or resting than anything else, and at the bottom of the hill was also everyone else sitting and resting because that walk up the hill pulling your tube and being responsible for kids was not fun. The hill itself is ok, the people at the top who push you down were nice enough. It was ok, but no where near being worth the money and I feel it was pretty poor customer service to not offer anything when it was also not our fault that something was broken and we didn't get full use or be able to take advantage of going down the hill as much as we should have (it was easily at least only a third of what we probably would have been able to do). Small things offered when things like this happen can keep people happier instead of a "nope, sorry". I honestly don't think we...
Read moreThe best part of this place is watching my children have a blast. It’s super pricy for 1:45. We paid $160 for 4 people and it’s a lot of time standing in line. I didn’t mind paying or standing around because it was worth it to see my children having a great time. Now, my problem with Tube World is the people who are employed there. The guy working the conveyor belt at the bottom did not bother to help at all getting kids on. He had his back to us with a stick, letting us know when it was time to get on and a few times he was on his cell phone talking and didn’t even bother to let us know when we could get on. There were two girls standing at the end of the slopes, barking orders to get to moving and clapping their hands at the people as they got off their tubes. I’m a mother who is trying to get me and my child out of our tubes and drag both of our tubes to the side as a college/high school kid yells at me to move move move. I Confronted the girl who then turned on her heels and stopped to talk to both of her coworkers on the way to go into the office to tell them that I had confronted her. She proceeded to argue with me that she does that because it really hurts if you get hit. I have no doubts it would hurt if you get hit by a tube with a person in it. I was getting out as fast as I could, and trying to move my child out as fast as I could, and drag both tubes. She was treating the situation as if she was a drill sergeant. She proceeded to argue with me while who I’m assuming is her employer just stared at me with a blank face. I turned around and walked off, and they both walked back onto the ice/gravel patch. No adult or employer ever spoke to me about the situation. What I experienced is arrogance and unprofessionalism. You can keep people moving without yelling and clapping at them. Your approach could...
Read moreThe snow tubing is definitely fun. It is also dangerous. I would say it is great for like 5 years old to 45 and in great physical shape. My 5 year old and 15 year old loved it , they went up and down probably 20 times, the little one did however get wiped out by a tube coming down once when he was walking to exit the bottom to get back in line, he wasn't the only one I seen a little girl get hit and fly in the air from a incoming tube. So when they get to the bottom talk to them about getting out of the way quickly. One of my other children hurt their leg pretty badly when he hit the impact wall. There is a lack of complete safety and this is why everyone has to sign safety release forms. The impact wall is made to stop you at the bottom and prevent you from flying into a traffic highway. I would recommend trying to slow yourself down with you feet before you get to it , even though snow will fly in your face. The little kids don't hit no where near as hard as the people over like 150 lbs. The impact of flying into the blown up wall can hurt pretty bad. I seen many people walk off with their backs hurting, heads ,and legs like my child.
If the entire area could be moved to a larger field where there would be more space so the impact wall would not have to be so close and with such an impact, it would be great.
There is a small area for kids next to the big slides, that is cute for small ones with small tubes.
Check out the picture booth after and find the photographers to take a family picture for you. The pictures come out really nice.
I would have given it more stars if the impact wasn't so ruff at the bottom causing injuries and if they waited for all kids to clear out of way to send down next tubers . They have a great concept it just needs to...
