Same old wonderful park from the 80's.
I used to play baseball here, serve food in the snack shack, and ump little league games with my best friend.
The park has added some extra fun things though.
A look out point to watch the sunset (as you can see from my photos, they are spectacular). A children's playground that has something for all ages 10 and under. Plus the extended the walking trail to have fun little play stops along the way.
Parking was a breeze and the views were spectacular.
This is a great place to throw the ball around, fly a kite, let the kids unwind, and take in the beautiful views.
If you are short on time, I recommend walking the perimeter to take it all in, then next time you come you can jump to your favorite spot.
Not many know of this place that are not from Malibu, so the last couple times I brought the kids here, it was comfortable and not over packed with tourists.
If you are thinking about getting your kids into sports, I highly recommend it as you get a lot more than just your kids beautiful smiles. It really is the greatest place to watch a...
Read moreFantastic little park. Free to park here, which was really nice as parking in Malibu is not easy to find. It's right across from Pepperdine University, but school was out of session, so I think that might contribute to why the park was fairly empty (I mean empty in a good way!). It felt extremely safe, and the views of the ocean were amazing. It certainly isn't huge, but it's big enough to spend at least an hour there checking out the views, running through/laying on the grass, exploring some of the playground if you have kids, and there's a baseball field too. Overall, it was definitely worth a stop if you are planning a day in Malibu, but if you are coming ONLY for this park it's probably not worth that unless you really like seeing the ocean from a cliffside view. Still, would...
Read moreWe went to see the Chumash Pow Wow, n all I can say is, if the city of Malibu would have embraced the Pow Wow, had native foods, not burgers; had a not so secluded venue, not a corner spot with a 50 feet cliff drop, as if we weren't worthy of your trust to be orderly, and last had decent parking on the side of the Pow Wow Celebration, not a mile n half from the venue and your options were to walk with traffic less than 2 feet from the walkway n then to take your chances crossing or wait for the shuttle to get packed like sardines. N it was hot. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy every type of dances, felt like a native but next year it can be so much better, especially if tco Malibu showcases it as a historic n cultural part...
