Cecily Breeding Creative — Local services in Malibu

I've been meaning to connect with Cecily for a couple of years now, after a friend showed me a photo gallery that Cecily did for her daughter's birthday. The pictures were stunning and so creative, they took my breath away! Fast forward 2 years and I FINALLY got in touch with Cecily to make our family beach photo shoot (that we've been wanting to do for a while, but life got in the way, as it does!) happen! And I'm SO happy that I did! Cecily responded right away with excitement and great ideas for our photo shoot location, suggested time, dates, etc. We made it all happen within a month or so, including getting our photos back from her. We spent an hour or so at the beach (our photo shoots with other photographers in the last few years have lasted 20 minutes max), and Cecily was so creative about where to shoot and different backgrounds, spots, elevations, etc. The resulting photo gallery was so beautiful and captured our family so perfectly! Our kids are teenagers now and that comes with its own set of challenges, they're not as easy to get reactions out of as when they were little. But Cecily did it and got all of us to relax and just enjoy the process and the moment. Our teenagers, who are at the age when they don't particularly enjoy taking photos, told us that it was THE best (and most fun!) photo shoot we've ever done as a family! That is HUGE in my book! And the photos themselves were so creative and so imaginative with angles, lighting, positioning, etc. Also, you get SO much more value for your money compared to other photographers. Cecily is AWESOME, and you will not regret working with her! I had planned a proposal on Leo Carrillo Beach and when looking for a photographer for the big moment I came across Cecily. She is an absolute professional, a talented photographer, and a great person! She helped me pick the best spot to pop the question for the photos, and her knowledge of Leo Carrillo and other local beaches is a huge asset if you plan to shoot photos. Not only that, but Cecily helped me with a big part of the proposal. I had a plan to spend the whole day in Santa Barbara with my fiancée, then propose at the beach on the way home. I wrote a poem for my fiancée and Cecily helped me by letting me send it to her in advance putting it in a wine bottle for me so I could have this message-in-a-bottle kick off our proposal. Once she said yes, my love and I had an engagement photoshoot with Cecily and the results were phenomenal! She is so kind and funny and cool too!

She truly has an eye to take some great photos and we love the results. One other great thing about Cecily is that when you receive your photos they aren't watermarked and it is easy to share them with friends and family. Nick and I wanted to thank you for being so freakin' awesome!! I am so happy that during my search for photographers, I saw your name on Facebook, remembered how much fun I had working with you for a past photo shoot, and thought of asking you if you photograph weddings.

Not only did I think those past photos we're beautiful, but you were so fun, sweet, and just plain cool. I remember thinking, I could totally be friends with Cecily!! And that was just as important to me as beautiful photos. Someone who had an awesome personality who would understand our quirky-ness.

It was truly an HONOR having you and Keb photograph our wedding. You guys were as much a part of the wedding as our other family and friends. Everyone kept talking about how awesome you guys were, and how impressed they were with how you both seemed to be everywhere capturing every moment!

So thank you for being there with us on the day. You both were one of the reasons why our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Fun, relaxed, and just "us"!
