They called this place Brightwater Park and it is certainly a park. Even though it’s connected to the Brightwater treatment plant it is still an absolutely gorgeous park with what they’ve done here. There are bridges and streams and wetlands and some very cool signs that tell you about what used to be here going back hundreds of years and why they have placed the plants here to do what they are doing. Some of the signage tells a long and very interesting history of this area north of Lake Washington and along the Sammamish river and it’s really quite beautiful but it’s been what has gone on here and how the place has grown in the last 200 years. It’s worthwhile to take the time to walk the trails and explore the area Verger and also to read the signs and get smart on what’s been going on here. The treatment plant which is connected is pretty cool because they offer the local schools really nice building or Center where the students can have different get-togethers I walked the trail from the parking lot all the way to the south. And turned around and walked all the way to the north. It’s a trail that almost anybody could do including kids. You could push a stroller here if you had the right tires on it. When you get to the furthest north end there’s a little covered picnic area in the bathroom. It’s also interesting is the explanation of the invasive species of plants which has one who lives about a mile away that was very educational. In addition to that contrary to that opposing that, is the plants that are native to the area which was a bit of surprise.

Be aware: at the north end of the trail where you’ll find the restroom and picnic area, the trial does continue. But it can get steep. So be careful as some folks won’t enjoy it. And if it’s sunny after a rain or snow I would...

I have been here before but did not have a opportunity to walk the trailers. This is a great day walk for family and dogs. On leash, no off leash. The trails were very well maintained, beautiful. There is disabled pa king however there are no paved walking trails they are gravel. There is a restroom from what I found only on the North side. This was why I am only giving 4 stars. A restroom and a covered area similar to the Northsidde on the Southside trail would make this even better. Easy to find, some of the trails did not come up on my GPS but was very easy to navigate. I will...

This park is a great little gem in the area. If you run/walk, you can get a 4 mile loop with just one double-back.

The surface is light gravel in most places, packed dirt in others, so even on wet days, you will not get too muddy.

A variety of terrain exists if you want to run/walk hill loops or remain flat.

It feels safe given that the main loop is open, free of trees and located near the business.

We see lots of dog walkers.

There is an indoor restroom nearby whose hours might be tied to the business hours and I've seen/used a...

What a gem of a park! Because its by the treatment plant we never really thought of the place as a worthwhile park to visit. We eventually did (as we are running out of new parks to drive to) and was pleasantly surprised. Parking is limited, there are no restrooms onsite (except at the Center if open) but the trails are flat and kid/stroller friendly, there are multiple ponds to explore on a short loop that young kids will be happy to walk through. We saw frogs, crawdads, water skimmers, dragonflies in the ponds. Highly recommend!
