Manchester Mill on the Water — Attraction in Manchester Township

If you are in search of a unique venue, with an OUTSTANDING staff, look no further than Manchester Mill On The Water in Manchester, Michigan. A lovely couple bought the shuttered Mill property several years ago, and have painstakingly been upgrading it as a wonderful venue for parties, showers, birthdays, wedding receptions, small corporate meetings, WHATEVER.

It's literally ON THE WATER, with a small Island in the river. A beautiful new parking lot is conveniently located across the street. One could also pitch an event tent on a newly sodded parcel, overlooking the river.

Speaking of "overlooking the river" the main even space has a BEAUTIFUL view, with a huge garage-door style opening. Absolutely PERFECT for photos, and to bring the outside, in.

Another item that sets this venue apart, and there are many, is the inclusion of both a bridal suite, tastefully decorated, and private, on the second & third floor. And don't forget the groom! There is also a private area where the groom and his cabal can get ready in private.

Catering is also offered, using local restaurateurs, sourcing local veggies and protein offerings. Or, choose your own vendors, there is a full keep-warm kitchen with state-of-the-art food holding (both hot and cold) appliances.

The staff is super easy to work with, and ready to fill your every need, and answer honestly, your every question. I know the next time I need event space, I will be using the Manchester Mill...

I rented the space, sight unseen, for a retirement party last night (honestly I didn't take any photos). It was short notice (under 2 weeks) and I was happy to have a local venue! Upon arrival in the monsoon rain, I met Dawn, who was waiting for us, and immediately started helping us unpack all our bar supplies and party set up - no small feat in the torrential down pour. Once inside, she immediately started filling coolers and asking where we needed help. It was as if this little angle swooped in to help. She, and Ken, her husband, were in and out during the event to make sure all was well, and at the events end Dawn was back again to help clean up. The space - WOW, you have to see it for yourself. She obviously has an eye for design - the garage door that opens up to the damn below (what a sound) - the ceiling tiles, the rough wood, the personal touches - the wedding suite upstairs (where I was able to shower so I didn't look like I was in that monsoon). If it weren't real feel of over 100, the porch offers beautiful seating, but we passed this time. Check it out - worth your time...
