This is my favorite park in the summer. I take my son to this pool all.the time!!! It's beautiful water and very clean and the splash pad/shallow end for younger kids is great!! The way the have the pool sectioned off is cool too so each area is almost designated for new to maverick swimmers. The life guards are great as well...sometimes a little TOO overbearing but overall I love it there! Also fishing is great and the trails are absolutely beautiful!! And they have a local snapping turtle in the pond there and he's soo big and cool to see when he comes to the edge to visit 😀 I will absolutely be back again next summer! Only thing I can say I wish was different well 2 things if the water was a little warmer( it can be coooooold) and if the pool stayed open until labor day it closes 2 1/2 weeks before August is over and there's nowhere else to go to take my kid swimming for free!.... but other than that 5 stars plus!!!

I like to walk the mile loop around Dorrs Pond. The loop is mostly shade which is a godsend on hot summer days. Dogs are allowed to take the walk with you. They can even partake in playing in the pond. You can run or even ride your bike. The pond offers fishing and non-motor boats such as kayaks and canoes to be used. The one mile loop also has benches around the pond if you need a rest or want to take in the view. You can usually find parking easily, but it does depend on the time of day. By Dorrs Pond there is a very nice playground for kids. It has benches and picnic tables there as well. On the other side of Livingston Park there is a city pool and fields for sports. The pool is nice but make sure you read the rules and times.

Great and safe place for outdoor activities and social outings with others. Great trails and paths, cared for fields for sports and recreation, exercise and physical health, or just to kill some time and enjoy the scenery. Some park users can be judgemental of others who also want and love to use the park but have fallen on hard times but are not instantly assumed to be a bad person. I have been directly judged by people regularly, from looks and glares, or sometimes more direct and, even, malice. Please be kinder to those who are struggling but still caring and good people who are making do with what little they have.

I've always enjoyed the walk here. Well maintained. Not to long, not to short. Scenic all seasons. Ducks hang out in the pond. Great place for a picnic, if people would pick up after themselves:( Public bathrooms available, not outhouses. The bathrooms are a little beat up but useable. Playground active with children. Manchester public pool next door. Update: June, 2020; Still an enjoyable walk! Listening to birds, seeing chipmunks and a family of ducks, people fishing and on their canoes. Moderately busy. Picked up, but, trash cans were overflowing. Bathrooms were closed.

I've been coming to this park for nearly 20 years. It's totally people and dog friendly for walking or jogging. The trail is through the woods so it's almost all shaded. People young and old are here everyday. It's safe if you're by yourself too! The trail is 1 mile around the pond. There are well maintained sports fields and a track. There is a large play ground w equipment for children all ages. There are picnic tables. There are benches all around the pond along the trail too. There is a boat ramp and fishing. Not sure what they're catching but the pond is shallow.

Whenever we come to Manchester, NH we walk the Livingston Park Trail. It is a nice and easy 1 mile trail around a small pond with ducks and other birds. The trail is mostly wide, gravel, some boardwalks, mostly shady, flat with a few 5-10 foot high gentle hills, and several benches for viewing and resting. There is also a playground and other fields for playing frisbee or other games, sports and walking. Plenty of parking and a reasonably clean bathroom facility. Nice place to eat your lunch from one of the area take-out restaurants that are nearby.
