Compared to other local parks this one probably has the most varied landscape. Definitely the only place I've seen in town that offers forest trails. The Eagle Scout and the Fort Leonardwood to Fort Riley Military Road Memorial trails begin behind the Arby's. The former snakes up the hill and out of the woods. The latter more-or-less follows the western perimeter of the disc golf course and ends sort of non-descriptly in two backyards. From the Parks Department website and some signs at the park, it appears they have plans for future improvements.
