Had my 6 year olds birthday party here and it was amazing! I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous because I had never even stepped foot in this place before, let alone knew it existed until I was looking for places to have my daughter's birthday party. I do not regret taking the risk and booking a party here, at a place I've never been to! We chose the innovator party and everything was taken care of, I barely had to lift a finger! The decorations, cupcakes, the slime activity (which costs extra but was worth it!) and even the invitations and party favors were all included. It was 2 hours long and the kids were constantly playing there is so much to do there for any age of kid. I even got down and started playing with some of the toys too! When you first walk in it does look a little baby-ish but looks are definitely deceiving in this case because a party of about 10 kindergartners kept busy and had fun the entire time! The lady that facilitated it all was wonderful and so sweet to all the kiddos and answered all my questions effectively and was quick about responding and staying in touch about the plans. She definitely knows what she is doing and is awesome with kids of all types and ages and made sure no one felt left out and never made me feel like a burden or like she didn't want to be doing what she was doing. You can tell she genuinely loves her job and that's more than I can say about employees at other children's indoor play places I've been to. The ONLY, and I really do mean only, negative thing I have to say about our experience is the water in the bathroom was freezing cold when I washed my hands. But I may not have given it enough time to warm up either.
I would definitely recommend for birthday parties. I am even considering getting a membership because my daughter already wants to go back and her party was just a couple hours ago. It seems expensive but it is worth the money to see your kids happy and knowing they are learning and playing at the same time in a safe inviting environment. You won't be disappointed! Thank you MHK play studio for a wonderful...
Read moreMy family and I had an absolutely amazing time at MHK Play Studio! This place is a true gem in Manhattan, KS. From the moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the incredible variety of activities that cater to kids of all ages.
The wind tunnel was an absolute blast! Our child couldn't get enough of the exhilarating experience as they felt the rush of air around them. The building blocks area was a dream for creative minds – it was fascinating to see our little one construct imaginative structures while learning through play.
The magnet wall was another highlight – a captivating and interactive space that kept our kid engaged for hours. They loved experimenting with magnets and discovering the magic of attraction and repulsion.
The coloring area was a colorful haven of artistic exploration. Our child’s creativity flourished as they painted and colored to their heart's content. It was heartwarming to see their face light up with pride at their creation.
One remarkable thing about MHK Play Studio is that it truly caters to all ages. Even a baby that’s just learning to crawl around can have a ball! We brought our toddler who is 16 months, and we wish we had gone sooner. The studio has carefully curated activities that are safe and enjoyable for infants as well. It's heartening to know that the studio is a haven for families with children of all ages.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and I must say, it felt like a haven of safety for our toddler. The staff was attentive and the entire space was clean and well-maintained, allowing us to relax and enjoy quality family time without any worries.
If you're looking for a delightful family outing in Manhattan, look no further than MHK Play Studio. The wind tunnel, building blocks, magnet wall, and coloring area, along with their inclusivity for even the youngest members, make it an exceptional destination. We can't wait to return for more fun-filled adventures!
Thank you, MHK Play Studio, for providing such a wonderful space for families to create...
Read moreWe were there Saturday, and by Monday night my kid is sick with a fever of 103, as well as myself and my husband is showing signs too. We washed our hands and even used my hand sanitizer often, as to not get sick, yet here we are. To be brief, toys felt as if they haven't been sanitized as often as they should be. Especially with animal cages that have poop piled up in them, or the hissing cockroaches having a dead rotting one in plan view, and a bird cage where poop is on the outer edges where a child could easily touch it & then transfer the germs to the toys or other surfaces. It's concerning to see the cages in the state that they were, that the animals were sleeping in their own feces. They should be cleaned every morning or at the end of every shift as to not have a few days worth of poop in them. Then to factor in curious new humans that have access to be near them- even though you have to ask a staff member to touch said animals and parents •should• be making sure their children aren't touching the cages. Yet there were plenty who weren't and some parents aren't hygiene oriented if you know what I mean. For goodness sake, I saw a mother saying let me find (fake name) Charles something to chew on, then proceeded giving a ball to her 4-6 month old as a chew toy from off the ground that had been obviously played with by multiple children. Then putting it back there any kid could play with it, instead of the sanitizing bucket they have near the entrance.
All I have left to say is, things should be sanitized daily if not twice daily due to the animals within the building and not feel as if they have some layer of ick on them. Their toys were quite nice, Montessori vibes that were engaging not only for kids but parents could help their children play as well or even read to them with numerous book options. Just do better in sanitizing yall things please, no one should leave feeling as if their kid is going to be sick and it...
