Worth the stop. Great lighthouse. Beautiful surroundings. Watched the freighters pass by. Cute little main street. This is a short drive from Metro Detroit. Recommend taking the short trip here and continuing on to the Fort Gratiot lighthouse as well. You won't be disappointed.

The water is so blue! The lighthouse is right down the street from the beach. So bring your suit and go for a swim. Worth the drive...

The Peche Island Rear Range Light was a historic lighthouse "off Peche Island in the entrance to the Detroit River from Lake St. Clair." Located in American waters just north of the border to Canada it was moved to Marine City, Michigan upon its deactivation.
