Republic Movie Theatre — Attraction in Marion Township

The prices are reasonable always have been. I’m not sure if they changed management or what.. growing up in Marion I never had a problem with the movie theater it was just like any other movie theater except some times they wouldn’t get new releases as quick as the larger cities did.. but.. never have I had a experience where the lights stayed on throughout the entire movie and the volume was low. I asked if they could the turn volume up and shut off the lights like any other theater. The staff said yes but..never done it! I even had other people ask in my group they lied and told them the same and never done it.. It’s a movie theater for crying out loud. The sound of my chewing popcorn or rattling through my bag of candy shouldn’t overshadow the sound of the movie...plus the management was rude. There wasn’t too many ppl in the movie to began with and one of the ppl I came with checked her phone its not like their was anyone behind them their practically at the last row of the theater and the manager decided to come out of her office to tell her to get off her phone..because the light shined so bright she could see it from up in the podium... now my question to management is how do you figure that the light from someone’s cellphone can cause a disturbance to the movie viewers but the several lights that you and your staff neglected to shut off during the movie can’t ??????????? If It wasn’t for me inviting everyone out to go to the movies that day. I would of left midway into the movie to go to the next town just so I can actually see and hear my movie! No matter the cost plus Columbus has $5 movies all day every Tuesday. Definitely not wasting my time here again if this is how you guys are running...

Kind of doing the online dating thing .. so I agreed to a date with the person I was chatting it up with and decided to meet up with them at this movie 🎥🍿 theater I was a little behind so I met up with them in side the theater..so I walked in found were they seated slid in beside them got settled in and minus small talk got right into watching the movie .. Thur out the movie we rubbed hands rubbing each other's thighs laying her head in my shoulder...you know all the movie stuff .well it was about half way over and I whispered I have to go to the restroom..she whispered back me to ..so I got up she followed me out to the lobby I was kike maybe a refill on pop corn on. The. Way back in she said cool I kept heading to the men's room ..towards the other side of the room and I got there let a few other dudes come out and I went on in .. found a urinal and started doing my thing ...so I'm doing my thing thinking this date not going to bad wonder if she is down to do anything afterwards ..then all of a sudden from someone standing at the urinal beside me I heard. pretty good movie so far huh .. I was about to say yea sure .. thinking they must be in the same theater as me .. but I kind of recognize the voice ..I look up and it was my date .. my knees buckeld and lil bit I remember kinda swayhng before everything went black .. I woke up out side the theater with my date ..I guess . Above me .. I managed to say you was in the bathroom with me ..and laughed you came bathroom with me lol trying to get a lil freaky huh .. she laughed a little and said no dear I had to pee too .that's when it...

I tried to ask a question if they are going to air the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie. I was really nervous. They didn't seem too interested about show times, the girl was getting nervous which I understand, I heard another woman in the background talking, I think she said they aren't gonna air it or something, I can't remember. The girl on the phone got an attitude with me and said have a good day, and I said forget it not worth my time and hanged up. I was super nervous, you don't treat that to a nervous person on the phone. Idc if your having a bad day either. I never had rude customer service like this either. I wont be stepping into this theater at all. I'd rather go to AMC theaters and Gateway Film Center to watch my movies. I'm sorry. I wanted to see if they were gonna play the movie locally because driving all the way to Polaris was all, both women sounded rude. I was trying to be nice and was anxious at the same time. I have a disability too and have hard time explaining things. So I think I was scaring them. Really though. Then I get told what time is it airing, as a movie theater, you should know what movie is being aired. You could of pulled it up on Google as well. I will never be watching a movie at this place. Idc if your having a bad day. You don't be rude to someone, specially who has anxiety asking a simple question about show times then say "Have a nice day" etc and attempt to hang up. Not cool customer service at all. Idk how this theater got a 4.1 rating. Kinda BS if you ask me. -__- If a manager see's this. Train your staff better....
