Mars Landing Galleries + Arts Center — Attraction in Mars Hill

Mars Landing is exceptional! I’ve visited the gallery in its varying stages from an empty building/former roller rink to the custom built-out gallery space that it holds today. The vision that the owner has is beyond compare. She transformed the space into both a sophisticated & accessible room filled with well curated individual gallery spaces within each section. Every kind of art lover will find something to enjoy at Mars Landing. The love and warmth that went into bringing this gallery space to the small town of Mars Hill shows in every corner of the building. There’s even an ice cream stand inside! We visited this gallery during a recent trip to Asheville to look at homes and lots to build as we are moving to the area soon. It was a delightful experience. It's a great space and the people were very welcoming. As my husband is an artist, we can only hope that once we're living in the area we will be able to contribute to the gallery and possibly exhibit there. Very nice gallery with some interesting art but don't expect to see local crafts. If you are in the area and want to see some contemporary art, it is well worth a visit.
