I love this beach. The tide goes way way out, perfect for my friend who needs a cane to walk. A short walk from parking lot to lifeguard station then a few feet in soft pristine white sand then hundreds of feet of packed sand making it easy for my friend. Parking at the Lobster Pound where you can park for $20. A short walk over the bridge that kids jump off to the entrance of the beach. Port-a-Potty’s and trash canes at entrance of wooden walkway that is lengthened by a plastic walkway. Also a person here to answer any questions you may have and to make sure only residents with stickers can park, which is only fair. On weekends a food truck parks at the entrance for affordable snacks and lunches. The beach is clean not that many Seagulls, no Horseflies. A perfect crystal clear water with no rocks also a sandbar which keeps it safe. Tide comes in around 3 pm. I highly recommend this beautiful beach also known by locals as Burke...
Read moreI read these positive reviews before going here first of all no parking at all on weekends, even at the expensive parking lots
But worst part is i am writing this review covered in huge 3 inch red itchy bumpy spots all over my entire body from sand fleas!!
Never got them before ever from many beaches i have traveled all over the world
Just went through 2 tubes of anti itch cream and taking benadryl every 4 hrs from the extreme bites, itching and reaction my body had from the sand fleas bite here during the day! and yes we did have something to sit on, didnt even sit directly on sand
also place smelled disgusting of rotten eggs
Hope to spare another family this pain...

Also a couple outhouses over there. The jetty is also nice and redone so one can walk to the end pretty easily. Great fishing in the canal off the jetty. At low tide kids can find crabs etc by the jetty or on the far side of the beach some rocks appear (only at low tide) that can be flipped over...
