The only place I will get a Lobster roll is at Green Harbor Lobster Pound. They have the best, the biggest, the tastiest (not a lot of mayo) Lobster rolls I have ever had. The Lobster is Fresh from the sea every day. A large Lobster roll is filled with 2 whole Lobsters in the best buttery roll, lightly toasted you have ever tasted. Some secret seasoning, no lettuce just all Lobster! They have a smaller version with 1 whole Lobster in the roll. Totally disagree with the comment about it being "touristy." Please stay home that means more for me. They have Onion Rings to die for. Not frozen, made from scratch. All their fried seafood (never greasy) is excellent. All served with FF or Onion Rings. Shrimp, Clams, scallops, Haddock w/chips, Cole slaw and homemade tartar sauce. For the little ones they have chicken tenders, burgers, bag of homemade FF, grilled cheese and there is a soda machine or bring your own drinks, BYOB ( beer or wine) and sit at one of the picnic tables and enjoy or bring it home to eat. Best seafood in town. I always get the Large Lobster Roll because I only can eat half and save the other half for the nxt day. Well worth the money. The Green Harbor Lobster Pound is a hidden Gem...just the...

If you want to eat the lobster roll as a roll, you'd need a second bun unless you eat half the meat off the top before eating it. And it's good quality lobster meat too.
I have two complaints about the lobster roll:
One is that I was looking for a traditional lobster roll. This is not that. There's very little mayonnaise, if any, and no celery to be found. I think that a good traditional lobster roll needs both.
Two: it lacked salt
In fact, everything lacked salt, icluding the sweet potato fries and fried shrimp - this was my biggest issue with Green Harbor, especially because everything was really well prepared (the fry on the shrimp was especially excellent - great crunch) and the seafood was good in terms of quality.
I would probably return next time I'm...
Read moreGrear seafood and portions. Good price value. Got several live lobsters. A little more pricey than grocery atore but uou should buy here and I will tell you why. The lobsters here are 100 pct local and usually caught that moening. But best reason is they are quality hardshell ones chock full of meat, unlike ones at most grocery stores that have shed recently and are half empty to expand into tge new room as tgey grow.
You can buy great hardshell cilulls here and gerllt much more and much more flavorful meat than paying less for ones that appear larger. Only quality lobster sold here.
Their lobster roll is best and biggest anywhere. So try one or you wont have othe one to compare all others to.
Great clams and platters in the takeout too. Little parking. Benches out back to eat them and tgey will steam and give butter to...
