Getting there was half the adventure for sure! The views are spectacular and you need to plan to just get yourself in an island grove and take it slow. The road from The Kula side, gets very rough the last 10 miles. It had rained so the falls were very full and brown in color but still spectacular. The hike was a great way to stretch our legs after the long drive. Even though it had rained the trail was in excellent condition. We had a lovely picnic lunch by the visitor center and on the way back got some amazing fruit from a roadside local stand. Plus their fencing was rusted and falling over so you would think that if they were really concerned about peoples safety, they would fix the hazardous trail, and trim down the grass so you could actually see the falls.
