I bought a necklace 183 grams about 4 maybe 5 yrs ago the welding on the necklace turned black I asked them they said I just have been in a pool for it to react like that and that they would charge me for it since I didn’t have my receipt, I asked them if they had the receipt or if they could look it up they said no it’s at a bodega we don’t go there. So if you have no receipt we have to charge. What bothers me is they put the blame on me right away and second is what does “re polishing it to make it new” really cost them. Long story short they are not the only Jewelers in McAllen they lost my business. I told you in your store I bought it at the Tamayos on 23rd st and at the Tamayos on 10th at they added the letters from gold to white gold. If you want to change the story to protect your store it’s ok but from your response you can tell the customer service that you give at this location on 23st is only to people who buy and once you sold it you...
Read moreI went on my own in May and they sold me a gold necklace with a BROKEN hook. It did not even occur to me to check for damage on a brand new gold necklace. It is a gift for my husband’s grandma who lives in Mexico so I put it in the safe and forgot about it. In December, ready for our trip, we realize it is broken so a couple months had already passed from the date of purchase. We obviously couldn’t gift it to her broken for Christmas.
So I went back with my husband this time and they told us it would cost $65 to fix it. We had our receipt and everything. We were planning on buying hubs a gold chino necklace (the lady didn’t know yet). My husband got very upset that they sold us JUNK to begin with so we left.
We took the necklace to Casa de Oro & it is being fixed there.
Stop selling broken jewelry!!!! All I wanted was a good experience, no hassle and a nice...
Read moreMy experience at Tamayo's in McAllen on 23rd was very unpleasant. I made a purchase in Dec.2024 and not even 6 months down the road the bracelet that I bought fell right off. I called the store and was told to bring the item back along with the receipt and they would fix and clean it free or charge. I did exactly that and when I arrived to my surprise they offended me telling me that my bracelet was "old and worn out". They did not honor their word or their product. This is completely unacceptable that a piece of jewelery is having craftsmanship issues in such a short time of purchase. What is more disturbing is that they do not stand behind their product. I went to social media to post my dissatisfaction and was surpised to find out hundreds of people who have experienced the same issues. I will no longer be bringing my...
