La Chula Restaurant — Restaurant in McAllen

Ok yall I just updated their menu prices and for the price I expected a lil more food but nope... I had to open up my Sincronizada to spread it around... I know I should of taken a pick of it but I was a lil distracted by people coming in to a restuarant to play Spanish lottery (El Borracho cards type). Hell even my waiter was playing... had to flag him down to get his attention. SMH! Won't say I'm not going back, but I'll wait a lil more and c if they saw this and correct the amount for the buck and a lil more attention to customers rather than the game. Oh and since the game is played everywhere don't reserve the seats... u want people to come and sit where theirs no people sitting at that moment to have a meal. We come in and they say oh sorry but u can sit to the right, just those 3 tables cuz the other ones r reserved. I know I should of just turned around and said ok u don't want my business cuz I'm here and their not. But I like the place and the name that I wanted to give it a try. And nope...

After careful observation of the reviews on here I’ve concluded that what has been said about the service is somewhat legitimate. The food is actually exceptionally well done . I will mention that the reason the service for the dine in customer suffers immensely is because the main focal point and concern is the drive thru. There is absolutely no accountability for dine in. This could be because of the pos system or there own self initiated system does not differentiate who is dining in. As a result the orders at drive thru are made along with dine in. In their respective orders as they are received. This is unfortunate.This is equivalent to going to a gas station such as stripes and having to wait to pay for gas behind someone who is buying tacos at this same gas station. All in all the employees need retraining. It is not their fault. They are work in under limited circumstances. I will return because the food...

The food is good, but the service is lacking. I went in the morning with some workmates, and everything went well. I saw they had pollo en mole, which my wife loves, so I decided to take her there for a late lunch. Her order was fine. I ordered the chile relleno with cheese and meat. When I got my plate, I started eating the chile relleno but half way through it I saw no meat. I called the waitress and asked her what I had ordered and she said a chile relleno with cheese and meat, I showed her that mine only had cheese. She said "oh", left, entered the kitchen, and never came back. I finished my plate, it was still good, paid and left. I'll never go back. They lost me as a customer. I spent 60 dollars in one day for 3 meals, and was probably heading back later but not anymore. So check your food...
