Starlite Burger — Restaurant in McAllen

I ordered 5 burger combos and asked on 1 of them for grilled onion. I get my burger and didn't see any onion, I didn't put my fingers to look for the onion because I don't think you have to be looking for what you asked. I went ahead showed the cashier and she agreed that she didn't see it so I said "I just want some grilled onion", she went ahead and told the cook lady about it and OMG she got offended saying that she did. She left her cooking station and went to our table and the rest of my family had to show her the burger to verify that no one had any onion. So she took it upon herself and open my burger/removed the 3 slices of tomatoes with her fingers and she says "see there's your grilled onion". And yes it was like a quarter amount of onion in there. Regardless if it had it or not, it was totally wrong going to my table and ask for proof, and worst of all touching my food and then she wanted for me to eat it. That is not good customer service. I went and asked for my money back because honestly my appetite went away. The cashier didn't call the manager to refund my money because the cook lady didn't want to get in trouble, so they just open the box and gave me money back. This is why I am posting here! Because of actions like this, people have bad experiences and they never get reported to their managers so they fix it...

I honestly had high hopes for the business

The business was dirty The tables were dirty but I ended up cleaning the table When we ordered the guy gave us our order They were not calling the orders out After a couple of mins I asked for an update and the cashier was like “we called an you never came, so we just left it there, there you go” the burger was on the side The drinks were not ready I had ask for no veggies When I opened my order My burger had EVERYTHING tomato, lettuce onion and the rest, When I told the cook that my order was wrong, he got upset took the burger away from me and called the cashier and he just took away the stuff from the burger Tried to mask out the flavor by pouring a lot of mayo and ketchup on the burger The Mayo and the ketchup were dripping off the burger it was disgusting The meat had the flavor of onion penetrated I ended up not not even half of the burger Not only that but they changed the buns and ended up giving me two bottoms of the bread instead of the top that I was missing when I asked them to change the break for me as the bread had lettuce stuck to it and covered with mayo (The picture below is when I first got the burger, when I got the changes on the burger and saw how bad it was, I was upset and disappointed to even...

This place is a dump... maybe 30 years ago it was the spot but for years now, and I'm talking maybe for the last 15 years they have been re-frying the chicken and fries to make it seem like it's freshly made when in fact all they doing is overcooking it and making it taste awful... it's my fault for going back after so long thinking maybe it was just a thing they were trying but to no avail, I literally saw the cook grabbing the pieces of chicken I ordered and throwing them back into the fryer as they did the fries... you can taste the burnt grease and overcooked in the food... they should close this place down or get their head out of their ass and give the customer fresh food that we are spending our hard earned money on. They are also giving the other starlight locations a bad name and are a disgrace to them. The other starlight locations in Edinburg and San Juan are nothing compared to this McAllen location.. not even close...the Edinburg and San Juan locations are really good and always fresh but I personally prefer the Edinburg location... it's worth the drive from any point in the valley. I give this place in McAllen 0 stars... close the place down...do not recommend...
