I love coming here to read by the lake shore. They have a covered picnic area, as well as public bathrooms that are open in the summer. They have a bike trail that goes into McFarland and a playground for the kids that's pretty sweet. There are lots of big, beautiful trees and plenty of places to sit. There's a small beach. I've seen people come with kayaks and to parasail. It's usually pretty quiet, except Saturday afternoons. You can grill there and there's plenty of garbage bins for clean up....

Read moreAs a park playground this spot is truly lovely. Great playground. Excellent clean facilities. Wonderful view. Solid parking lot. Bicycle tools and rack with great access to the paths.
As a beach the water is often murky, weedy, and smelly. It’s the kind of funky that does not invite swimming. The beach is a pebble beach so it’s not great for laying out or little feet walking around.
In summary I recommend this park for everything...
