I love coming here to read by the lake shore. They have a covered picnic area, as well as public bathrooms that are open in the summer. They have a bike trail that goes into McFarland and a playground for the kids that's pretty sweet. There are lots of big, beautiful trees and plenty of places to sit. There's a small beach. I've seen people come with kayaks and to parasail. It's usually pretty quiet, except Saturday afternoons. You can grill there and there's plenty of garbage bins for clean up....

Awesome place for families! There's a shelter with picnic tables for cooking out/picnics, etc, public toilets, a BIG park for kids to play on, a pebble beach for swimming, (even though Lake Waubesa is kinda gross,) and there's a brand new bike path that follows along the lake all the way to Madison! Its located right by the Green Lantern, (GREAT food!) and has public piers to dock your boats! Make sure you get to see the sunsets! They are...

As a park playground this spot is truly lovely. Great playground. Excellent clean facilities. Wonderful view. Solid parking lot. Bicycle tools and rack with great access to the paths.

As a beach the water is often murky, weedy, and smelly. It’s the kind of funky that does not invite swimming. The beach is a pebble beach so it’s not great for laying out or little feet walking around.

In summary I recommend this park for everything...

I'm wheelchair bound and the entire length that I traveled was about 4 miles all paved there wasn't as many wildflowers that I've seen on other paths but still very nice being in a wheelchair the view was obstructed quite a bit but for people walking and running looking at the lake is awesome The bridge which is almost the mile long really made my day
