We stopped here to let the kids get some energy out on a long roadtrip. This place is SO COOL! There are 4 different playground areas that kind of weave together with this awesome vine-covered trellis walkway, and it’s all surrounded by lush green trees. The area felt safe for our family, and you can tell they take pride in caring for this space! There are public restrooms near the parking lot, too. The entire Shelby Farms Park is truly beautiful, and I wish we had had more time to explore all it has to offer! I’d highly recommend this place to families looking for a safe, fun, and beautiful park in Memphis!

I am giving this playground 3/5 stars. I visited with my little and I hate the way it's designed. There are metal slides which get hot in the summer time, granted there is a lot of shade here so only parts of the slide are burning up. The slides are separated from the swings and the climbing area. I just wish everything wasn't separated so I wouldn't have to chase my toddler from section to section the whole time. It truly is not designed for little kids in my personal opinion. Because of all the trees, there is a large amount of bugs so we have to always wear bug screen when we go to this playground.

I only wish we had parks like this in Kansas City where I'm from. This place has everything to it. Event spaces, lake/pond, kayaking, stables, and a large kids area. The children's playground is what we went for. My children had a blast. They were almost overwhelmed with the options. And as a parent, I was excited at the possibility for my children to have an amazing time. The natural feel to this park was what I've never felt before. I will put this park on my must do list for the Memphis area.

This park is huge !! They got so many things for the kids to do. Just be sure to keep an eye on the kids as they can easily wander off given how big the park area is. There is a big lake adjacent to the park. There are fun activities for the adults like ropeways, ebikes, fishing etc. It's got ample space to stroll around or ride bikes. There is a horse stable near by where you can ride horses if you are into it. This park is away from the city and makes a perfect spot for a weekend getaway for picnics and barbecues with friends and family. -1 star only because the bathrooms could be better maintained. Overall it was...

This is hands down the best playground we've ever been to. It's mostly fenced in (there was a large gate open in the front), and inside it's divided into several smaller play areas. We were there with kids 4-8, and they played like crazy the entire time, then weren't ready to leave when it was finally time to go! Be aware that one of the play areas is full of sand, in case that's not your thing, though honestly if you went to that play space first, all the sand would rub off of you after you ran around the other spots. This is a great place for kids 2-3+. There's not much here you can do with a baby - no...
