I love this coffee shop, especially given the location at the park, but this past visit with their barista Britney, was incredibly disappointing with her rude, unprofessional attitude.
Iâve been a loyal customer at this coffee shop and have accumulated over $40 in rewards, but my most recent visit was incredibly disappointing. When I first entered the shop, there were about 6â8 guests seated. I noticed the barista was working alone at the front, and I patiently waited, fully understanding the demands of making drinks while also taking orders. However, to be completely unacknowledged is unacceptably. A simple âHi, Iâll be right with youâ or âWelcome inâ, with the same enthusiastic greeting she gave to the couple who walked in less than a minute after me, would have gone a long way. Even after looking right at me as I waited, she said nothing. Eventually, another staff member came from the back and took my order. I specifically requested that my latte be made sweeter than the standard recipe, in which, I was more than willing to pay for any additional charge.
When my drink came out, I immediately noticed from the color that it didnât look right (as someone who has ordered this same drink multiple times, I could tell it was off). I still said âthank youâ as it was handed to me, but the barista barely even opening her mouth, nothing audibly came out. The drink, a whipped butterscotch espresso, tasted like milk with only the faintest hint of espresso. Trying to avoid being difficult, I went back to the counter and politely asked if I could get a separate cup with more of the butterscotch. Instead of responding kindly, the barista gave me a smug, irritated look as if I were bothering her. She whispered something under her breath to the other staff member, who came over and asked what I needed. I explained again, and he said âoh, okayâ and walked away.
When she turned back around to hand me the cup, the sauce barely covered the bottom. I asked if she could add a little more, and she visibly rolled her eyes, sighed, and begrudgingly poured a bit more. The entire interaction was dismissive, unprofessional, and uncomfortable.
This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I hope management takes immediate action to ensure staff treat every customer with respect and courtesy.
Brittney, if customer interaction isnât something you enjoy, it may be worth considering a non-customer-facing role. Based on your service alone, I left questioning whether I want to continue...
Read moreI frequent this coffee shop with friends when we walk at Shelby Farms it's a great spot to sit and enjoy coffee etc; today I went and we got our drinks and I got a scone to eat etc. the food and drinks are always really good especially after a walk.
we had a fairly nice time until I went to return the high chair I used for the baby one of the workers (or maybe the owner) said she wanted to "warn me" that they will be enforcing a stricter policy for outside food at the tables outside soon since they sell food sighting people bringing whole picnics or even food from chickfila and sitting there; I tried to to explain my son was the only one to eat some outside food (which was only kid snacks not even a complete meal) but she sort of looped around to people bringing big lunches again.
My son has a disability and food allergies...unfortunately I cannot just buy him goodies from coffee shops or brunch places I have to bring him very specific snacks or he might not eat at all and he has trouble gaining weight.
I'm mostly leaving a review because I want the staff to see this and hopefully take some consideration when people are sitting there with their newer policy. It felt like it was one of those "well you are fine but other people are the problem" except she was telling me specifically and only me at least in that moment so it felt fairly targeted. She wasnât there when we ordered so maybe she did not realize we had bought several items between me and my friend.
ETA - your reply means a lot and this coffee shop is wonderful adding the 5th star because I can tell yall really...
Read moreI rented this location out for my baby shower/ surprise wedding this past weekend and it was PERFECT! Claire and Daleigh were amazing. What didnât they help with? They assisted set up, ran the music for our wedding, kept an eye on our food/ refilling, provided drinks for our guests, kept everything clean and organized, etc. Claire was always very responsive in her emails prior to the event and helped me plan out the small details and work with me on the flow of the party. Everything came together perfectly. If I had more parties to plan, i would definitely have them at this location again. The view of the lake, the great food and coffee, the outdoor and indoor seating options, all the great help, etc. You just canât...
