Sunrise Lake Beach Club — Attraction in Mendham Township

We joined Sun Lake beach club in Mendham Nj a couple of weeks ago and bought a family pass. After the first time my girls started complaining that the water was not clear and had a lot of algae in it. I thought it would clear up because of the weather being so humid so we gave it three more tries but it got much worse and the girls refused to go in. This was terrible so I did more research and looked at three other lakes near the Morris county area and luckily found Horseshoe Lake beach in Roxbury Nj. I went to their recreation center and met with their director who took me into his office and explained that Horseshoe Lake is a spring fed lake and the water quality is excellent. He walked us over to the lake which is rather large and has a section for the swim team and an area with slides and deck where you can jump in. It was full of young families on a Wednesday afternoon which was a very encouraging sign. I decided to sign the girls up. I then contacted Sun Lake and spoked to Lyndsey who is one of the managers that I purchased our season pass with and explained all our concerns. She was sorry that the girls did not have a good experience but informed me the water was tested and is fine. She then emailed me the contract that I signed which says no refunds and hopped I would reconsider.
