So many things wrong with this place, not sure where to begin...
They are deceptive and advertise paddle boats on their web site. No where on their web site does it say children must be 14 years old to use the paddle boats (unless they are with someone whose 18 with them.) They withhold this information until you pay, then when kids are too young and not allowed to go on the boats, they refused to refund $20, saying it was a “miscommunication.”
I called the Director of Parks and Visitor Services to let her know something was wrong. After a couple of calls, her administrative assistant called me back. She proceeded to give me the run-around, and ignored the fact that this was an all-cash transaction and no receipts were issued. She acknowledged their web site doesn’t state kids need to be 14 years old to go on the boats, and that it would be corrected.
They are understaffed and disorganized. They make kids take swim tests, my group of 4 all passed the test, yet were all required to wear life jackets...so why waste time and energy for a swim test, only to have kids wear life jackets?
Everything...and I mean, everything costs additional $$$ at this place.
