Getting back into skateboarding after over a decade, and had never been to a pump track back then, since they didn’t exist nearby. Especially not paved ones that can be used by skaters. Saw this one just opened a few months ago, and decided to try my hand at it. Went at around 5:30pm on a Wed hoping it wouldn’t be too crowded since I was inexperienced. There were only two kids riding on bikes, and they were supportive and courteous of me learning the ways. After about 30 mins, was able to loop around the whole thing in different ways while maintaining speed. Not confident enough to be popping any tricks or anything like that yet, but will definitely be back to practice! Genuinely the most fun I’ve had back on my board recently, and managed to not slam! Thank you so to City of Menlo Park and County of San Mateo for opening an...

Reconstruction looks great.. they have added more picnic tables and new grills. They have tennis court, basketball court, soccer field, valleys ball net, baseball field, and it has a skatepark. No charge, but you can leave donations. You can rent the big picnic area for events. I hope they add a playground for kids. My family have been coming to this park for years since, my mom did her baby shower for my bother he is 37 now lol. And I have seen a couple of renovations from this park, this one has been the best one so...

It’s an older park that is great for a walk while watching the birds and other critters. The small playground is nicely equipped and there are several rentable group picnic areas. The park is overrun with ground squirrels that lots of folks enjoy watching. Unfortunately they ARE ground squirrels and have dug burrows all around. That makes the baseball field hazardous to run on as well as damaging other grassy areas. There is a plan in place to update and modernize the facility...

One of the most amazing urban post apocalyptic ground squirrel sanctuaries I have ever seen. Get not very far into the park and you could be convinced the rest of the world is devoid of life due to some horrific climate disaster. Everything is dead and brown if not just dirt, but for hundreds of ground squirrels EVERYWHERE. If you are into that, I highly recommend checking it out. It is quite a trip!

Pretty standard park. Playground, picnic tables, lots of trees for shade. Unfortunately it’s not the most beautiful place; the grass is dead and there is some graffiti on the structures. But it is sufficient for a nice picnic lunch. There is plenty of parking available. There are many parties going on during this Saturday morning & it looks like each area can accommodate large numbers of people.
