A Hard Day’s Night? More Like a Perfect Summer Evening at Mercerdale Park!

If you’re looking for a place where the spirit of summer grooves to the beat of nostalgia, Mercerdale Park is your ticket to ride. I came for the Paperback Writer Beatles cover band and left with a full heart, a full stomach, and a phone full of blurry dance videos I’ll cherish forever.

The band? Spot-on fab four magic. They didn’t just play the hits, they became the hits. From “Hey Jude” singalongs to “Twist and Shout” dance-offs, the crowd was electric. And speaking of the crowd, Mercer Island showed up and showed out. Families, teens, boomers, toddlers with glow sticks, it was like Abbey Road met a block party.

Food trucks lined the park like a culinary Sgt. Pepper’s parade. Ice cream and corn strips that might’ve changed my life. Pro tip: eat first, dance later. Or don’t. This place is all about living your best life.

Mercerdale Park nailed the vibe: clean, spacious, and perfectly set up for live music under the sun or stars. If you haven’t been to their summer concert series yet, you’re missing out on a little slice of musical heaven.

Would I go again? In the words of the Beatles: “Yeah,...

This is one of my favorite "local" parks. There is so much going on here for a relatively small area. First, the flat, sunny 1/4 mile loop paved trail is great for walking or kids bike riding. There is also a small nature trail off into the woods, a skate park, a picnic area, workout stations with instructions and a nice kids playground (currently being remodeled, almost done!). Local area businesses and a post office are located across the street and there is also a thrift store located at the south end. Plenty of...

I go here a lot. I have a few really good, stand out memories of using this as a place to meet up with a friend that was visiting from out of town (we were internet friends, so the first time was neutral territory). Her kids love the park. And my sister that spend the night from time to time, loves to go there to play PokemonGo. I...
