Pagliacci Pizza — Restaurant in Mercer Island

It’s 2022 and the entire staff is still in an unwarranted COVID psychosis. I’m a dentist, and I find it humorous to see businesses operating with such ignorance, fear, and disrespect for their customers as if we’re all vicious carriers of a deadly disease. They used to be a friendly, welcoming crew, but like many other businesses have embraced the dehumanization of their customers by yelling at people in line to wear a “face covering” and demanding proof of vaccination before even offering a friendly welcome or hello. I enjoy an occasional escape from my home for community engagement and a slice of pizza, but after tonight I’ll never visit or support this business again. Ordered a large pizza and small salad, said it would be a 1.5 hour wait to pick-up and that's no big deal it's a Sunday night I get it. They text me it's ready 30 min early which I wasn't ready for but it was welcome.

I get there and have to wait 10 min to grab the pizza that's been sitting there for 10 min already, and instead getting to leave I have to wait another 10 for them to make the salad. I get home in 5 and the pizza is cold and soggy.

On top of it all they didn't put 2 ingredients on the pizza! Called about the toppings and went back and got them. They threw in a small pack of cookies as a consolation. Would be 1 stars without it. Once warmed up the pizza was great however. I don't think it would be worth the price, even...

We don't visit this location on Mercer Island often and this last visit reminded me why. One of our friends with us is gluten free, so we ordered a salad. It took 45 minutes for the small salad. After going up to the counter repeatedly and asking where the salad was and why - we finally learned that they gave it to another customer. No apology, no acknowledgement and they were not busy. Granted the front check out guy was young, but when I talked to the manager about it, it did not make it any better. He just shrugged it off. Now to the other food: pizza was soggy, crust was soggy.
