My fiancé booked herself and bridal party at Renu for our wedding. They have you sign a contract recommending that you have your hair trial booked a few weeks before your wedding day. They also state that they will make you feel tranquil and radiant and that your wedding trial is a direct reflection on how you will look and feel on your wedding day. She booked her hair trial a month before our wedding. She brought in a few pictures and was open to her professional stylist's suggestions. Her stylist stated the hair style she picked would work. After completing her hair she left the salon very unhappy, her hair looked awful, it looked like a child that was learning how to braid did her hair. She showed her friends and they were shocked by how poorly her hair looked. My fiancé went shopping after her trial and her hair literally just fell out. The bobby pins were falling on the ground and stabbing her neck. My fiancé contacted the salon and they told her that the trial is a "rough draft" to give you the chance to see what you like and don't like. They state directly in their contract that the way you feel at your trial is how you will feel on your wedding day. She felt terrible; she didn't feel radiant or tranquil. She did not have the confidence that they could make her hair or her bridesmaids hair look beautiful on our wedding day. You are supposed to feel most beautiful on your wedding day and her hair felt awful. They quoted her a price for her trial and charged her $10 more when she came in. When she asked about it they stated prices are subject to change. She stated she did not feel comfortable returning the salon and she did not want her bridesmaids getting their hair done at their salon. She asked for her $200 deposit back and they stated they would only send her $80 back for her make-up deposit and they would KEEP her $122 since she didn't give them a 60 day notice to cancel the appointments. My fiancé has a very small bridal party of only 4 people and it is on a Friday. She gave them a 30 day notice that we believe was more than fair due to their lack of bridal hair skills. They stated she would not receive her $122 since it was in the contract that they require a 60 day notice, they also broke their contract by not making her feel beautiful, radiant or tranquil. Also like I stated earlier they recommend coming in a few weeks before your wedding, but require a 60 day cancelation notice, so when you come in for your trial and they do not deliver you are basically stuck with them because they will refuse to refund your money. She gave them our address to send the check to, which took 2 weeks to get to our house because they used the wrong address. We would highly recommend to go elsewhere to get your hair done if you would like you hair to look beautiful and don't want to...
Read moreI just drove from Maine (over 3 hours) to purchase a tanning bed off Lisa the owner of this salon and she waited 15 minutes before my arrival to tell me that she hopes I brought extra muscle to help lift the bed. Mind you she had been having her receptionist or someone else contact me via facebook this whole time. In the beginning of our conversation I was told that I couldn't come down until the 25th or 31 because her and her husband were on vacation and she wanted time to take the tanning bed apart for me. Now when I actually spoke to Lisa on the phone today she told me no that I needed to take it apart myself because they don't do that and that they wouldn't help me lift it into my pickup. I brought my mother to help me with lifting it because we had just moved one yesterday by ourself so we knew what we can handle. So then Lisa proceeded to tell me that I needed to go back home and get more muscle and when I did the to contact her if I still wanted it. So what I did was went down the street found a couple guys that were willing to help me and sat in he parking lot texting and calling her letting her know that I had found muscle like she said I needed and she refused to answer her phone or text me back. If you are selling something to someone what is it to you how I get it. Once it's out of your shop and you are paid its my own problem! To the fact that she told me I couldn't handle it and has never even seen who I am really irritates me. I drove 6 hours for nothing. I myself own a salon and just sold my tanning bed because I was relying on this tanning bed. I also helped the buyer take it apart and lift it into their truck because that's the respectful thing to do. So this company is a joke and the owner Lisa is a crock. So good luck to anyone that ever goes here or purchases...
