We come to this place a few times a week here and there when we stay at the hotel for renovations at home. We have owned a food trailer and restaurant as well so we understand the food business but what these people are doing should be illegal!!! We actually walked in to sit at the bar one time and some lady was upset and said on the way out “watch out for them they like to change their prices whenever they feel like it”. We should have known better from there…the prices have always been pricey as we have been to many Mexican restaurants in the area but we had certain dishes we liked and the owners are friendly. Tonight not so much…two meals no apps…we got charged for 6 beers my husband had 4 but how can we prove it without making a scene? Mind you they charge $6 for a Heineken when almost all places in the area charge $4.50 at most and knowing the wholesale price as a business owner I am aware of what we pay in NH. I asked for a Captain and Diet but it’s mostly Diet Coke and always is when we go there. I asked the waiter/owner of the business for a shot of Captain on the side because the drinks are weak for $12!!! They charged me over $9 for a small shot of Captain and you can buy a whole bottle for double that practically! The food is mediocre at best was supposed to get guacamole with mine there was none at all but again if I asked for some they might charge me an extra $1,000. The workers were doing shots with customers and another lady who got her bill next to us was also arguing “extra charges” on her bill so that’s not a good sign! The owners husband even made a comment about how fast we drink our drinks. Well maybe actually put alcohol in the mixed drinks and not just all soda!!! And that is so unprofessional to make a comment about how fast someone finishes their drinks! We have been constant customers but we will not be going back anymore…good luck with your newest venture and hopefully Amherst doesn’t mind paying over $140 for two meals 4 beers and 3 watered...

It's a quick stop on the way home. We stopped for tacos. They say they sell Birria tacos her, but it is only the birria meat in the tacos with a side of broth. The taco shells are more like street tacos than birria tacos. They don't dip the shells in the juice and grill them. They come out as plain corn tortillas.
The carnitas meat in the Carnitas tacos we had were drier than an overcooked, never basted turkey. Good thing we Paid $4.50 for each of our sodas because we needed those, or we would have choked.
Service was bad. Our food was taken off our table without us even finishing. The server just came and took our stuff, like he wanted us to leave faster than we were. He did ask if my husband was done with his soda but didn't give him time to answer before tossing a napkin into his glass.
When we wrapped up to leave, our ticket was left with a tip that made our total a round even number I would be able to recall clearly. When my card was charged with the tip, the amount was an extra $2. I then called and asked for a manager. The person on the phone said she was the manager. Crazy thing is my ticket had her name at the top of it, saying she was the one who would be claiming the tip money. Was she the one who entered the extra $2. Then she proceeds to tell me how they lose tickets sometimes, and they just enter 15% in that case. I told her that's not logical because the numbers didn't mathematically add up. She then told me I was going to have to go in for the difference ($2). Once I told her, very angrily, that this was stealing, she agreed to fix the issue electronically.
I really like the atmosphere as far as decor, and floor plan. My seat was comfortable, and I enjoyed the little piece of Mexican Culture. I was excited to try it, but it left me very...
Read moreI had a really disappointing experience here. I came in alone, ordered three enchiladas, and only got to eat one before going to the restroom. I made sure to tell the waitress I’d be right back, but when I returned, my plate was gone. I was shocked I wasn’t done eating, and I hadn’t asked for my food to be taken away.
I politely explained the situation, but the waitress was rude and dismissive. She claimed I had put my napkin on the plate, but I only did that to cover my food because I saw a fly .. which she denied even existed. She started raising her voice, saying I told her I was “all set,” but I genuinely didn’t hear her because I urgently had to use the restroom. I never saw her take my plate I went straight to the bathroom.
I tried to stay calm, but I was starting to tear up from the stress and how I was being treated. I even explained that I didn’t leave anything behind on the table because I’m not from the area and didn’t feel safe leaving my phone unattended I was trying to protect my belongings and my food. But Valentina and Bruce said I should of left a belonging they questioned why I didn’t leave my cellphone behind.. mind you she apparently timed me using the restroom and just because I wasn’t back the time that she expected me to allegedly be back she threw my food away, but claims she threw it away when I walked off doesn’t make sense.. The owner eventually refunded me, which I appreciate, but he also took the waitress’s side and dismissed everything that was said and done I’m not the type to cause problems I’m shy, and I was already anxious eating alone. I just wanted to enjoy a quiet meal and instead ended up feeling embarrassed and attacked.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but people deserve to know how I was treated. Hopefully, management takes this feedback seriously and makes sure future customers feel more...
