I had a very disappointing experience here when I stopped by for lunch. I used to frequent this spot when I worked in nearby Manchester. I was glad to get food here today when I was in the area.
There was only one server working so the service was a little slow and I understand that it's the norm post-COVID with staffing shortages everywhere. But I could clearly see her be very attentive to another table nearby and I waited a fairly long time to get my drink order in. And once I did get my food which was a lunch size, I realized that the portion size had reduced drastically compared to the last time I was here which was certainly a while back. But for comparable prices elsewhere I was disappointed. Again I was not too surprised because that seems to be the norm.
When I started eating I noticed that there were some pieces of chicken that seemed undercooked and I notified the server and she was happy to take it back to the kitchen to get it rectified. I was asked if I wanted something else instead, which I did and in the time I was trying to look at the menu to order something else, a different woman from the staff came and explained to me the process of cooking the chicken in a sort of a patronizing way. And condescendingly said that the meal would not be comped which I did not ask for at all. And I was told that either I can eat it or it won't be taken off the bill if I ordered something else. At that point I was just hungry and didn't care about a comped meal. I just didn't want to eat what looked like undercooked chicken. They could have easily made me a fresh plate or rectified the situation in a different way. But the lady I spoke to chose to be rude and condescending. I feel like I was very polite when requesting a fix to my dish and didn't warrant such rude treatment. I chose not to finish my meal because I didn't want to risk being sick. I wish things had gone differently. I don't think l will be back. I considered not tipping but the food wasn't the servers fault, even if she was less than adequate with her service. Thankfully I live pretty far away now so I won't be missing out on anything. Hopefully someone from the management seesthis review to handle things like this more professionally in the future. It's a shame because I have recommended this restaurant to multiple...
Read moreIts okay. Suffers from being less authentic and more Americanized. When it first opened it was mostly a takeout spot with a couple of tables and the food was MUCH different and higher quality. If pad thai is what you know then, yes, they do that, but theres more to Thai flavors than that. Andy Ricker, [POK POK] would be horrified with this representation. If you like "fusion" flavors, Seoul Kitchen in Westford neither hides the fact that it is fusion, or afraid of retaining a level of authenticity to all the Asian cultures represented. I would go as far as to say, I would doubt there's ginger, fish sauce or lemon grass anywhere near this kitchen [and Shaws doesnt count] The menu here is ridiculously big and redundant, reads like a book, but its purely a case of quantity over quality. Nice enough people but the food is hybrid chinese take out food, sorry, and its not so great. Its always a bad sign when you ask for something extra spicy and it comes with crushed red pepper flakes dumped on it. Thai flavors include an array of fresh chilies...
Read moreI used to be a big fan of this restaurant but I went recently and the service was awful!
Even though the menu clearly says that they will adjust the spice level upon request, when I asked the waitress if they could make one of the dishes less spicy, she flat out refused: Just curtly said "No" with zero explanation -- very weird, and meant I had to awkwardly scramble to find a less spicy alternative on the spot.
We ordered boba tea, which is meant to be cold. However, presumably because she had placed it on a hot surface, the top 2/3 of all our drinks was cold but the bottom 1/3 was hot! Absolutely bizarre.
When I asked the waitress for another boba tea that wasn't weirdly hot, it looks like she literally just dunked a ton of ice in my existing boba tea and gave the same drink back to me.
The food itself was fine -- not terrible, but not great either. However, that waitress singlehandedly created such a terrible experience that it's not...
