I've played quite a few courses around south Florida and I've leaved here all my life over 30 yrs, this course and service was by far the worst. I'm not sure about all these reviews and I questioned if they're authentic. From the start the service was horrible, bad drop wasn't too friendly, on to the pro shop it wasn't bad but nothing to go crazy over. The first few holes if you play in the early morning are impossible to play because you're staring directly into the sun, that's not the main problem if you could find your balls once you hit of the T box, the grass was in such bad shape and the fairway was pretty bad, I spend more time searching for my balls in the fairway then normal and on a couple of instances I just said forget it and took a drop. on the front 9 the greens were also pretty bad. Overall I don't want to write a novel but i must express how disappointed i was. we stop to pick up a few alcoholic beverages because of course we never seen the cart person if they even had one, the lady at the bar again wasn't to warn, we ordered 6 stellar beer and to my surprise it was $57, i couldn't believe so i look at the receipt and gratitude was already include of $10, trust me it's not the money but i can't understand how i paid $57 for 6 beers, I WILL NEVER and i repeat I WILL NEVER SET FOOT ON THAT COURSE. Did i mentioned no GPS and no markers.. just HORRIBLE, THE WORST. p.s I SURE I'LL GET A RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT, plz spare it nothing you all tell me will get me to come back until...
Read moreMy father-in-law is coming into town this weekend and my fiancée was trying to book a tee time for them both at this club.
He called this past Sunday to book for next Sunday (March 31st). Someone on the phone with a slight stutter told him to call back tomorrow because it was too far in advance to book.
He then set an alarm at 7am as soon as they opened, to call and book. The same guy answered the phone. He then said “sorry I made a mistake, you can try to book again tomorrow…”
I was already getting upset for him because I know how much he wanted a good tee time with his dad and was led to all this back and forth.
This past night right at midnight, he tried to go on the website to book, since it was finally “5 days in advance”. I watched as he spent almost 2 hours back and forth on the website and different apps trying to book this damn tee time. It kept giving him false information of tee times that weren’t available, and every time he proceeded to choose a time, it would either say “tee time no longer available” or “credit card declined”.
He finally called again this morning at 6:30am and some other guy picked up and told him that this Sunday would be closed for a private college tournament.
Why in the world couldn’t they have just told him that in the first place??? And why didn’t it say something on the website??
This has added so much unnecessary and unwanted frustration, all of your staff should be able to know what events are going on, and your website should have updated...
Read moreCan’t say enough great things about Normandy Shores Golf Club. Great course, great food and above all an amazing team of people.
Want to give a special shout out to Roger, the All-Star starter. Always greets you with a big smile and has an incredible knack for always making you feel special. He is always super accommodating. I can’t wait to get to the first tee.
Also want to acknowledge Idaly, a wonderful ambassador for Normandy Shores. Usually get to see her around the eighth hole when she drives up on her “Goodies Cart” with her great big smile. No matter if you are having a good day or bad day on the course, Idaly always knows the right thing to say and always goes that extra mile to make your golfing experience even better. Plus, She makes great ice coffee.
Also want to mention Bob in the clubhouse. He is so personable that you don’t even mind paying the green fees.
Highly recommend a visit and getting to meet, greet and know these amazing...
