Palm Tree Club Miami Restaurant — Restaurant in North Bay Village

I refer to this establishment as a HOTEL FRM HELL!!!! Beautiful surroundings, but this place is a horror story in the present!!!!! After check in this Hotel was a COMPLETE HORROR STORY!!!! From the roaches and ants, NO CABLE, NO INTERNET, THE ELEVATOR OUT OF ORDER, ICE MACHINE DOESNT WORK, THEY DONT HAVE TOWELS OR HOUSEKEEPING THAT CLEANS YOUR ROOM UNTIL YOU’RE LITERALLY CHECKING OUT!!!! THE POOL WAS MURKY, THE AIR CONDITIONING BARELY WORKS. THEY CHANGED MY ROOM 3 TIMES DUE TO POOR CONDITIONS (didn’t get better). THE CEILING LEAKS IN THE WALK WAY OF THE OUTDOOR HALLS!!!! FRONT DESK DOESNT HAVE ACCESS TO MANAGEMENT(at least that’s what they told me daily)!!!!! I LITERALLY HAD TO MAKE A POLICE REPORT BECAUSE OF THE POOR CONDITIONS!!!! THE AESTHETIC IS BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE LOOKING IN BUT ONCE YOU’RE CHECK IN THE TROUBLE BEGINS. ONE AFTER ANOTHER!!!! I BOOKED THROUGH EXPEDIA WHICH WAS NOTIFIED AFTER I GOT ON TIKTOK TO RETRIEVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. BECAUSE WHEN GOOGLED, NOTHING BUT THE WEBSITE COMES UP!!!! THIS WAS A KID FRIENDLY VACATION FOR MY CHILDREN’S SUMMER VACATION! I SAVED AND FINALLY GOT THE MONEY SAVED, SUPER EXCITED TO SHOW MY CHILDREN MIAMI FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THIS HAPPENED!!!!! I CRIED, WE ALL WANTED OUT!!!! THE SAME DAY I ASKED FOR MANAGEMENT AND KEPT BEING TOLD, THE MANAGER ISNT AVAILABLE!!!!! THEY EMAILED HER( if it’s really a her idk). THEY HAD NO BUSINESS CARDS, NO INFORMATION POSTED, NO INFORMATION GIVEN ON THE INTERNET BESIDES THE NUMBER TO THE HOTEL, WHICH THEY NEVER ANSWERED!!!! EVERY TIME SEVERAL TIMES A DAY THEY’RE ARE GUEST LINED UP COMPLAINING!!!! I COULDNT LEAVE BECAUSE I BOOKED WITH EXPEDIA WHICH THE POLICE EXPLAINED WITH COMPASSION AND GRACE FEELINGS SO SORRY FOR ME THAT THE RECEPTION HAD EXPLAINED TO THEM BECAUSE I BOOKED THROUGH A THIRD PARTY I WOULD HAVE TO RECEIVE A REFUND THROUGH THEM!!!’ THEY (the hotel) DONT HAVE PERMISSION NOR AUTHORITY TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE MGMT ISNT REPLYING TO THEIR EMAILS!!!! I CRIED, MY CHILDREN WERE DISGUSTED AND LITERALLY DIDNT WANT TO BE HERE!!!! WE COULDNT POOP, SHOWER NOR SHAVE DUE TO THE PLUMBING!!!! SHOWER HAD STANDING WATER, TOILET BARELY FLUSH AND HAVE IT ALL ON VIDEO! ALL OF MY COMPLAINT IN FACT! INITIALLY WHEN CONTACTING SO CALLED (mgmt, which was written by the employee, because they had no business cards, smh) I REQUESTED FOR HALF OF MY MONEY BACK BUT ONCE IN AND EXPERIENCE AFTER EXPERIENCE KEPT WORSENING I DEMAND A FULL REFUND AND HIGHLY ADVISE TO NOT BOOK THROUGH A THIRD PARTY NOR THIS HORRIFIC HOTEL FROM HELL!!!! LUCKILY OTHER GUEST WERE ABLE TO GET OUT BECAUSE THEY HAD THE FUNDS TO DO SO. THEY WERE LITERALLY HUGGING ME WITH SYMPATHY BECAUSE THEY FELT SO BADLY FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN!!!!! IM SO GLAD THIS IS OVER AND I CAN RETURN TO MY HOME AND PUT THIS BEHIND ME ONCE I RECEIVE OUR MONEY SO WE CAN MOVE ON FROM THIS EXPERIENCE FROM HELL!!!! MIAMI IS BEAUTIFUL! I WAS ABLE TO GET MY FAMILY OUT IN THE SUN AND TAKE THEIR MINDS OFF OF THIS HELL HOLE!!! BUT WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THIS LOW DOWN, SCAMMING AND DECEITFUL PLACE!!!!! IF ANYONE READS THIS PLEASE, PLEASE AND PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND EFFORTS! I’D HATE FOR ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH THIS!!!! I PRAY THAT THEY’RE FINED FOR SCAMMING AND IN BUSINESS WHILE ALL THESE ISSUES ARE A PROBLEM! WHO PAYS THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY TO STAY IN THESE HAZARDOUS AND POOR CONDITIONS!!!! PS. I am not normally one to leave a review but I was really disappointed in this restaurant. We are staying at the hotel so we figured might as well support as we know they just rebranded and changed everything and give them a shot! We order shrimp cocktail which was probably the only good thing we ordered. Everything else was just ok pretty bland. While I’m a huge tourist fan unlike most I support tourist restaurants as they are good and deal with lots of crazy people. Tourist town comes with tourist prices and I’m fine with. However I have kids and asked if they have a kids menu, our server said yes we have chicken strip and fettuccine for kids. I said perfect. Ordered one kid the tenders and one fettuccine and one kid an adults taco meal. Come to find out there is no kids meal, kids sizes or prices. It was adult meals at the adult prices for my children. Not to mention one got water, free of course, one got sprite it comes in a can and cost $5 for a can of sprite and the other orders lemonade. $10 freaking lemonade. Very plain simple lemonade nothing fancy. Like what?! That’s INSANE!! We are a family of 6 and our bill was over $330 and I didn’t even order a meal. I’m not a cheapskate when it comes to dinner especially if there is seafood which we didn’t even get to experience being close to the ocean. Also tip is automatically included in the price which I would tip at minimum 20% regardless but this whole experience on bland food and a “kids” meal and dinner in generally just wasn’t what it should have been. We booked here specifically because we were arriving by boat and needed overnight docking. I called to verify. At first the girl who answered said they don’t have docks??!! (meanwhile it’s advertised as one of the o my in the area with a dock) She then asked a manager who informed her they do have docks. I asked does it need to be reserved and what’s the cost and she said no reservation and no cost. We arrived on a thursday midday and there were plenty of spaces to dock (it was actually empty) The dockmaster Ralph said the docks are for the restaurant not the hotel and for overnight it’s $150.He was very nice and helped us dock while we went to speak to the hotel which is all connected. The hotel said the dock is through the restaurant and not them. We were very angry because we just came in by boat after 4 hours in rough seas. We told John the man upfront that we were told there was docking at no charge for guests. Needless to say we canceled the reservation and hopefully they refund us due to their lack of information and training with their front desk staff. We still had a glimpse of hope Being that we were tired and hungry. We asked the girl upfront at the restaurant about the docking. Here is the icing on the cake.: she said it’s normally $500 for overnight docking but because our boat wasn’t huge, she will only charge us $200. What a scam! so basically the hotel lost a reservation and the restaurant lost several hundred dollars in revenue because we would’ve had lunch, drinks and dinner. Ridiculous!
