If you plan to rent a boat there beware of a parking scam. This is how it works...boat company offers free parking with reservation, when you arrive you go to the marina office and they give you a visitor parking pass. No instructions or map of where to park are provided. No visible signs where visitors can park. Upon return you discover the parking company that works for the marina booted your vehicle. You look around and notice that multiple cars received same treatment. if you don't believe me scroll down and read the other reviews from multiple people complaining about the same thing. Ironically, the city of miami sent the marina owners a contract default notice due to parking...they promised to pay the city $2M to build a parking lot but didn't. Now I know why. I'm sure people would prefer to just pay $20. for parking if there was an option or a place, instead of getting booted. BTW, don't bother to complain as they don't care and will blame it on you. Such a bad way to run a business, no surprise miami residents voted last year to not automatically extend their contract for 75 years and bid it out.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Rickenbacker Marina parking lot. Even though I had the official yellow ticket provided by the company, I returned to find a boot placed on my car wheel without any valid reason. I wasn’t the only one—at least five other cars were in the same situation, all with their tickets clearly displayed. What’s most concerning is that the payment to remove the boot is not made to an official company, but through Zelle to a personal number, which raises serious questions about the legality and transparency of this process. This practice appears to be a side business taking advantage of people’s good faith to extract money in an unfair and unprofessional way. It’s a shame that such a beautiful place as Rickenbacker is tied to these kinds of practices. I strongly recommend avoiding this parking lot altogether. There are many other options in Miami where you can enjoy your visit without the risk of being exploited like this.

Excellence all the way! I've been a proud member of Rickenbacker Marina for nearly nine years, and my experience has been exceptional. The marina boasts outstanding management and a friendly, helpful staff who consistently deliver top-notch service. Under Jay's expert guidance, the facility operates seamlessly. I've also utilized their repair services and found the technicians to be unparalleled in speed and expertise compared to other marinas. As a seasoned boat owner with experience at three different marinas, I confidently attest that Rickenbacker Marina is a world-class operation.

Horrible experience while being a client in the Marina. Also applies for south Florida Boatclub that even they say they are not the same management they are in the same location and dock.

I had my boat for almost a year, my first boat a 1982 Willy Roberts a classic skiff form the key for fly fishing and they destroyed it in the marina.

O suffered form an Abu Garcia reel robbery which I had to claim and I was sure where I left it was a place under cámara vigilance suddenly it appear and the manager called me a week later saying that the person was a good worker and that it was a mistake. I new who took it and I ask him to return it before going to the manager of course that didn’t happen until I formally made a claim.

The worst was that afternoon was beautiful and I returned almost 1 hour before closing time (8pm) and specially asked to lift up my boat (if you arrived after closing time it sleeps In The water) they didn’t and the reason I asked it was because the water pump was not working, the boat slept in the water and the other day almost was sunked.

A couple of weeks after I asked to put my boat down and the hawl cracked that was the end of my first boat. I disclosed formally in the management office in written all this situation, never had even an email or a call back. I tooked my boat to restaurarion and of course would never return or recommend the marina. For the Florida boat club another experience which I don’t feel like writing and even they make you signed a contract that you can review in social media!!! But definetly do not get in that trapp. A 2 year contract commitment and the service it’s super bad availability of boats, times and guidelines which the main mandate that cares is their insurance protection rather than making members happy or safe with their boating experience.

Hope this works for whom ever is thinking in joint one or...

Rude staff, unprofessional, horrible customer service and always giving you weird looks/attitude. You have to ask multiple times to get your boat move up/down even though you call in advanced. There have been multiple times that I come back from the water and there isn’t one person checking on docking the boats or helping out. They literally don’t want to help you out. There is no orientation on how the marina works or what you need to do/know. You have to call multiple times in advanced to get your boat down because they don’t pick up the phone and never check their voicemail. A few random lift employees have very unnecessary comments. Not the Cuban lift guy, he is awesome. Only guy that does an amazing job. They have a Boatsetter ad in the gas area incentivizing it but they don’t want you to do Boatsetter. Half of the people rent boats there anyway! See them all weekend! That’s how I found out about the marina. Anyway, Parking is crazy over the weekend. Limit your guests because the manager doesn’t like it! Even though you pay premium docking compare to other places and most boats are own by multiple people. All and all, expensive, unfriendly, not professional, rude employees, but good location, kinda of uncomfortable place, hard parking but hey there isn’t much in Miami so they can get...

Absolutely unacceptable. Yesterday, we parked at this marina and paid $30 for parking, as instructed. We placed the receipt on the dashboard, clearly showing the date and time. However, due to the Miami heat, the window slightly rolled down and partially covered the bottom of the ticket.

When we returned from our boat ride, we were shocked to find a boot on our car. The staff said it was because the date wasn’t fully visible—even though the ticket was right there and we had paid. What’s worse is that the receipt doesn’t say anywhere that it must be fully visible at all times. We double-checked and are attaching photos of the ticket as proof.

We went to the office to explain the situation, but they took zero responsibility. They simply told us there was nothing they could do. In the end, we were forced to pay $62.50 to get the boot removed: $50 for a “Boot Fee” and $12.50 for an “Administration Fee.”

So we ended up paying $92.50 just to park for a few hours—$30 initially, plus $62.50 because a piece of paper moved. This feels like a perfect scam: everyone wins but you. Terrible customer service, aggressive policies, and absolutely no accountability. Avoid this place...
