Wow what an awesome time we had. We did two activities here. We started the night off with an hour of throwing axes and I was not sure what to expect or how much fun it might actually be. However it turned out to be a ton of fun, we had 7 people which i definitely would recommend rounding up a few people to go because having some friends around to witness getting a bullseye made it super epic. The range in ages of the people in our party ranged from 21 to 70. By the end of the first hour everyone managed to complete a successful ax throw on the board. An extra special thanks goes out to Josh who was kind enough to take the time to help my mom get a successful ax throw in. Josh really did an excellent job so if you get the chance make sure to ask for him and he will help to make sure everyone has a good time. The other thing i would like to mention is the staff seemed to be really good on timing and checking back with us in case we had questions or needed any assistance. Do not forget to try the Chinese throwing stars while you are there and follow the safety rules that they tell you in the beginning. The 2nd hour was spent in the Area 51 Escape room and this room was done reaally well and looked like a lot of time and care was put into it. The detail on the controls was fantastic, I do not want to give any of the story away but the game maker and game host should be proud of how well this room is put together. Escape rooms have come a long way over the last couple years and this room is proof. Do not forget to bring your brain because the puzzles in this room are challenging but in a good way. Looking forward to the new rooms that they have coming in Febuary. Keep up the great work and we will be in again very soon. I do Highly Recommend this place and its something that can be done with people...
Read moreWe were here from AZ for our mother’s 90th birthday and thought it would be a fun night for our family, some of which had never been to an escape room (this was my 7th one). We were met by an employee with some kind of dragon iguana on her shoulder and she spoke in a weird voice “for the iguana”....which if I’m honest threw me to say the least. She began by reading the most confusing directions I had ever heard from a book. We entered the room and were met with one malfunction after another and the girl kept coming in to try to help and would then say”let me just give you the clue because I can’t fix this”. After the third time, she suggested we try another room....that room was worse! At one point she said she would need to take something apart to fix and would rather just give us the clues. At that point we were “over” it! We had been in two rooms, over an hour and a half and nothing worked. At that point I asked for a refund. She called her boss and said “I have a customer who didn’t enjoy the experience and would like a refund”. I asked for the phone to talk to the boss myself as that was not a clear explanation of what happened. When I explained to Kate what happened, she said “we don’t give refunds..you can come back tomorrow and try again”. As we were all from out of town, their equipment was all broke, that was not an option. Kate was rude and finally said “I’ll give you a refund” and hung up on me. So far, no refund! I have never had such an awful experience at an escape room and would suggest going elsewhere! We will definitely be disputing this charge with our credit...
Read moreHorrible experience. We booked two rooms, Cereal Killer and Operation Candy Cane. Cereal Killer was very large and looked like it was going to be a good room from first impressions. However the puzzles were tacky, one puzzle was 90% complete before we started. Another puzzle we did 3 times since we didn’t know what it opened. To find out once we asked for help that the door it opened was never locked to start the room and we had already moved past that part.
Candy Cane operation was even worse. Our GM brought us into the room and starting resetting parts of the room. We asked if we should leave while she did that but she said that we could just stay there. We also had to wait for her to text with someone between resetting some of the puzzles. The timer in the room was frozen and would only update every 3-4 minutes. A cabinet that was supposed to be locked (found the key half way through) was never locked. The starting puzzle has a decoder, but the decoder was mixed in with other paperwork 5-6 puzzles in. There is a closet that is supposed to light up, but the light bulb was burnt out (per GM) so she vaguely described after we asked for help of what we would of seen. We had to reask a 2nd time as there was clues to a later puzzle that we couldn’t see in the same closet. One of the GM “help” visits - she was holding her phone on mute as she was on a phone call with someone. The best part was there was a crumpled up piece of paper with the starting notepad. We thought it was a clue but it was the previous groups notes that had answers to two of the...
