Cannot say enough about the staff here; they are the best! Ordered tickets for Bill Engvall's farewell concert, but had some questions so I called the box office. The young lady on the line was incredibly helpful in getting the tickets sent to my home so I didn't have to fuss with Will Call the night of the concert. Tickets arrived safely and with plenty of time before the concert date.

On concert night, I was accommodated by staff in getting me a chair to sit on in the lobby area before the theater doors opened, and they went a step further to allow us to go upstairs early because our seats were up in the back of the theater and I have difficulty walking/climbing stairs due to knee & hip replacements. While we were waiting for the theater doors to open, my husband asked if it would be possible to put a chair at the end of our row (we were in the two end seats of the row) because a narrow theater seat can rub on my hip surgery scar and irritate it. "Ask and ye shall receive"...the house manager took us down to the handicapped seating area (which had been sold out when I bought the tickets) and found a spot for me, with my husband sitting in the row behind.

I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful the staff were to my husband and me. We felt important, respected, validated, and special. We normally don't ask for special treatment, but the MCFTA staff saw an opportunity to make our day better and it was because of their caring actions that our evening was better than we had hoped. The concert was wonderful to boot, so it was a really good day all around. Thanks MCFTA for having great folks on your staff, and for bringing quality shows to the area for...

MCFTA is one of the most creative places (in my opinion) that you & your kids can enjoy in Midland. My kids enjoy going & I enjoy taking them because they can touch & learn so much at the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Arts (one of their favorites). For example, there is The Hall of Ideas where kids can actually play a variety of musical instruments, very cool interactive artwall that you can email your kids drawings to yourself, see themselves on a screen while sitting at a news desk & stand in front of a green screen like a weatherman & see themselves on the monitor, even learn a little about Midland geography & history, AND SO MUCH MORE!!! There's the Spark¡Lab where kids create cool stuff at different stations. I couldn't list everything on here if I tried! It's literally layers of fun! There is so much to see, learn, & do there! Last year The Art of the Brick (Lego) Exhibit by Nathan Sawaya was there. I was blown away by the artwork of all his creations & my kids, who are Lego Lovers (Master Lego Builders lol), were in awe! Check out my pics to see a little of what was there.... Today, we visited the Space Exhibit. It is only on display for a few more weeks. What's nice is you can purchase annual passes and family passes which work at other exhibits nation wide. There's also a nice gift shop (also in my pics) that has unique things and kids stuff. THIS IS A "MUST...

The Midland Center for the Arts is pure magic! Growing up in Midland, this place has always been a cornerstone, and now it’s one my kids’ favorite spots.

Every museum update outdoes the last, like the incredible new space travel section using VR!

The gallery exhibits never fail to amaze either. I still talk about the time they showcased one of the world’s largest diamonds, with high-tech vaults and security that felt straight out of a movie. The dinosaur exhibit was a blast too, with real bones and life-sized replicas that had everyone hooked. And the mummies? Creepy yet fascinating!

The theater is unreal. I’ve seen STOMP bring the house down, Gallagher smash watermelons, Aaron Lewis pour his heart out, plus mind-bending magic shows and Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatics. The recent theater renovation makes every show look and sound spectacular, better than ever.

Having peeked behind the curtain through family ties in the past, I’m blown away by the passion poured into every detail.

Whether you’re after a family outing or a world-class performance, this place delivers. Check out the latest exhibits and snag theater tickets early, it’s a...

First time attending a show here, and will most definitely be back! The show we went to was sold out, but even so there was enough parking spaces to accommodate everyone. Thankfull for the drop-off lane as there weren't any handicap spots left for my elderly grandma when we arrived. She was able to get out without rushing, and we didn't hold up traffic either. Inside was very clean, well-lit, and decorated for the holidays. Staff were all friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Several entrances into/out of the auditorium made traffic flow smoothly. Seats were large, comfortable, and had ample leg room. The show was phenomenal as was the lighting and sound. Can't give this place enough praise!

Very cool place to visit and bring the kid's! I was fascinated myself in all the hands on educational items throughout the exhibits. I came with my daughter on a field trip and we ended up staying an extra 2 hours after the rest of her class departed. There's plenty to do for kids of most ages from music, geography, history, engineering, health and much more. I watched my daughter's imagination run wild and ended up being just as excited as she was, well worth the price of admission! I plan on returning with the rest of the family, a perfect place to spend time indoors during winter.
