This bridge, only a few short blocks from the center of Mifflinburg, and only 10 minutes away from Hayes Covered Bridge is, in my opinion one of the most nicely situated bridges in Union county. On the northern side, closest to town is a trail head for Koon's Trail, which is a mile long trail that follows the Buffalo Creek. It appeared to be the safest and easiest place to park. If you walk just a short distance on the trail, you'll find the best views to get photos . The bridge is open to car traffic, so walking through it felt a little risky. When a car goes through it (and there were several that came by while we were there), it makes a thundering sound, since the floor is made of metal grid work.
