My favorite beach. Just so quiet and small with not so many people around which is perfect. Thereās a beautiful walking path that goes far down both ways, one side goes down a side street then continues so make sure you check that out! Thereās no dogs allowed in beach but the path yes , and plenty of garbage cans on the way. Parking for Milford residents only and a good sized grass area and park with a basketball court. The houses there are beautiful of course so thatās also pretty to look at. There is a volleyball net on the beach. Fishing does take place here but on the ends. Not sure if itās allowed but itās always fun to look at and everyone is always respectful. All smiles at this family friendly beach!...

Which in hindsight I see why there weren't many people and why [the limited] parking is free. I can get over the dark unapproachable water since it seems all CT beaches are like that. But this beaches "sand" was at least 50% rocks no matter where you went (and 110% rocks down by the water). And the amount of horse flies was unbearable. So unbearable that we left 3-4 hours before we normally would have (we stuck it out for about 2 hours). Most likely will never return...

The beach is swim at own risk, having uneven bottom and some underwater stones (literally) a bit further out, so tread carefully.
That said, with some care the beach allows to enjoy beautiful scenery, complete with a fishing pier (wave barrier) and plenty of space for socially distanced time on the ocean shore.
