Old mine trailhead — Attraction in Mill Valley

The view of the Bay from Old Mine near the Mountain Theater is the best in the area, in my view — it's like looking at a topographic map of the region. On your right, Ocean Beach stretches diagonally, where city meets ocean. Down the center, peeking out from the rolling hills of Marin — 70% of which are protected green space — is the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. In the east, downtown San Francisco gives way to the East Bay and its towering Mt. Diablo in the distance. There's no better place for a visual...
