a sacred healing site for ceremonial water collection. The only water I drink while living here in East Oakland. Feels so good and enlivening. Worth the drive every few weeks to fill up my glass jugs. To honour my ancestors and respect the water, my friend and I park the car across the street, it’s the least we can do with the generous abundant flowing of water that’s there whenever we want her royal majesty. We treat the visit like a ceremony. We don’t just take, we take our time and actually genuinely connect and converse with the humans that come. Some kind, some impatient. A mix of people, love, compassion & understanding wins. Always bring an offering (a crystal, plant, feather, altar item, song, tears, laughter, an open hearted meaningful human exchange/just talk to the people!!!), leave it better than you found it. The water spirits are abound. Ask for forgiveness and give thanks. That’s my ritual. And it’s the...

Just getting there was a spiritual journey. All the twists and turns on the edges of cliffs, always with this spectacular surrealness in view, and amazing botani al beauty just in reach but unsafe to stop and worship in this natural sanctuary 'til we reached the spring. I am a country girl and absolutely ABHOR every water on the market and especially the tap water of EBMUD. This life giving water, which flows from the mountainside, literally gives me Life. Grab some fennel, plantains, dandelion or one of the other naturally occurring herbs growing alongside the spring and make some tea while...

New experience! My first time know there is one spring stream comes from rock. Where everyone stop by to take the water daily.

From our parking area for hiking to the steep ravine trail. I saw a lot of local people come with big tank to collect the water. I doubted myself should i give it a sip. Water's not so cold, but fresh with plain - no weird taste. I heard from local women that the water's tested in couple yrs back. Stop by if you are around Stinson Beach Area.

Question: Is spring water safe to drink?

Ans: It can be, but not...

There is mountain spring water here, and I am guessing that a mountain spring has a historical story. And this water will have magical powers. A gift from nature. When I came here, I saw a nearby resident fetching water, he was very nice. But she said the water here has not been tested by any agency and cannot be guaranteed to be completely safe to drink. I understand what he means. I try to bring a small bottle full of nature-tasting gifts.
