The Art Academy of Milton is an absolute gem! I visited on a Sunday, and was fortunate enough to be given a full tour by the founder (Steve, a fabulous artist and photographer). Every room was more incredible than the last and I left with a sense of wonderment and pure joy. The artwork hung throughout the building is exceptional and the amount of work Steve and other volunteers have put into beautifying the place is evident.
One of the coolest things about the Academy is the level of acceptance for all walks of life. From a trans-friendly unisex bathroom to the opportunity for queer artistic expression, the AAM makes it clear that all are welcome and supported in this space.
I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit as soon as possible and I’m looking forward to trying out one of the classes in the future. They’ve even got fun events scheduled and rentals available for band practice, etc. The stages and halls are eclectic and intimate, so I know attending a show would be a fun time.
I was especially tickled by the fitting room they’ve outfitted for a bridal suite, which will easily double as a gorgeous changing room for their upcoming burlesque show.
I can’t oversell this artistic haven. I’m excited to get back as soon...

We will...
