Milton State Park is a nice day use state park situated on an island in the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The park consists of nice picnic areas, sports fields, a small boat launch area, wooded hiking trails that loop around the island, a playground, and restroom facilities. A nice place to spend the day participating in outdoor activities.

Small state park with walking trails, playground, boat launch, latrines for bathrooms (clean, did not smell), and soccer fields with spectator benches. Water access points for dogs to take a dip. Several dog bag stations but NO dog disposal cans. Had to put in bathroom trash after I double bagged dog waste.

Very clean state park, it’s constantly monitored by the rangers , it’s kept so clean , it’s my go to for walking the trails. It’s quiet , people are respectful, it’s a nice spot to have lunch . Picnic tables , restrooms, walking trails . If you need a spot to go relax , this is a place to go

Stopped for a picnic lunch as we made our way across Pennsylvania. Some nice picnic tables were located under tall trees, but the grass was too long and we were inundated by bugs. Our poor dog was covered with them. No garbage cans. I guess having a beautiful park on an island in the middle of the Susquehanna river was bound to be a bug haven. Halfway between Wilkes-Barre and State College PA. Nice change of pace to get off 80 and take a look. Very small for a State Park - has a boat launch ramp, soccer fields, a bathroom, and loop trail. Lots of biting gnats (last weekend in June) so dress appropriately and consider bug repellent. Likely would be a great place to start or end a float trip on the western branch of the...

This was a beautiful, peaceful place that I really enjoyed. I walked most of it and spent some time by the river. The only down side was that I ran into a snake and it scared the daylight out of me so I went home. If you are going to walk the trails here, just be aware of your surroundings because snakes are definitely present as they would be in any...
