West Virginia Pumpkin Festival — Attraction in Milton

This was my first time attending the pumpkin festival and it was awesome. There was tons of stands with hand made merch. Merch from custom candles to puppet sloths, just about anything and everything. There was a vast amount of food trucks offering fresh lemonades, smoothies, sodas, fryed foods, grilled foods. I stopped at one and got this amazing chicken tenders meal. The fries were mehh but the tenders were good, very pricey but good. Also BRING CASH!! Like 90% of the trucks were cash only and we didnt find out until we got to the counter due to no signs. My only flaw with the whole Pumpkin Festival was the lines for the food trucks, they were chaotic and going every which way and mixing with other lines. This festival is an annual tradition for our family. We come from Pennsylvania, and meet our granddaughter and her family from Florida, and our daughter and her family from West Va.and have a wonderful day here. The food vendors offer various pumpkin treats, and roasted corn on the cob, delicious pork bbq, and a host of other amazing food choices. The 4-H exhibit and cafe are excellent. Many wonderful arts and crafts items are offered for sale in the various tents and buildings. Helicopter rides, a woodcarving with a chain saw show, puppet show, live musical entertainment, super heroes, and so much more provide fun for everyone. It’s not all about pumpkin here .. even though you do have a lot of pumpkin flavored goodies like ice cream , mousse, pie, cheesecake, coffee, dips, cream, soups , bread , log or even popcorn . But if you are not in the mood for pumpkin there are a lot of other food carts as well. They also have many more activities and wide variety of shopping opportunities mainly showcasing local vendors. There is also ample parking for which they take donation .. expect quite a lot of traffic esp over the weekend .
